Hey Everyone,
I just wanted to take some time to address what's going on and what has been going on for a long time.
The Black Lives Matter movement is something everyone needs to know about, no matter what age you are.
If you're black or a non-black person in support of this movement, all I'm gonna say and say again is #BlackLivesMatter. I can't be there physically to support this movement but I'm doing the things I can do to support this movement. Black people have been silent for far too long and now is the time to fight for justice for all the black lives we've lost because of racism.
Here's what I want to know:
Do people just go 'oh, he/she is black. I don't like them', is that how racists think? I just want to understand what goes through their heads.If you actually take the time and get to know us regardless of the colour of our skin then you would see we are no different to non-black people.
For everyone who doesn't know, I'm half black so this is my fight as well.
If you're a non-black person who says to themselves constantly; I'm not a racist or you deny the existence of racism then ask yourself this:
Would I treat a non-black person the same way I treat black people?If your answer is No, then there you have it. You may not brutally express your hatred but that is racism. You treat us differently because you see us differently.
If it's something you don't like and you want to get over, treat us black people the same way you would a non-black person because that's the right thing to do.If your racism is something you're proud of and want to continue, then here's what I have to say to you;
May the God you don't believe in forgive you.We were created by the same God, the one you don't believe in. We were created equals without the label of black or white. We accepted these tags because it's a fact, we are black and we are proud to be black. But we didn't expect these tags to define the way you see us, treat us. Bullying is one thing, killing us is another. We can stand your bullying even though we shouldn't have to but we do. But the killings, THAT HAS TO STOP!
Its inhuman and just very heartbreaking. The HATE U GIVE is wrong.
If all racists were blind, imagine how much racism would decrease.
You shouldn't judge us by the colour of our skin just as you shouldn't judge a book by its cover.Let's spread peace, love, kindness and togetherness. We're all the same, humans, so let's pray, hope and fight for racial equality and justice.
This is your fight just as much as it is mine, not just because I'm black but because I'm human.
If black lives matter only then would ALL lives matter.With that said:
Here's a song I wrote for the Black Lives Matter movement. A message for us to RISE, a voice for people who don't have one.
Send it to people to encourage them to fight with us, fight for us because BLACK LIVES MATTER! ✊🏻✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿
Love you guys, and stay safe wherever you are.
