Yelling echoed through the air. Hanji shifted, lifting her head up hearing the commotion.

"SHIT!"

"He's too fast! I can't see him!"

Wait, did someone come for her? Hanji tried to call out but the rag that had been stuffed in her mouth and secured with a second cloth tied over it prevented her voice from getting out. Screams tore through the night, then everything fell silent. Hanji froze hearing footsteps walking to the carriage. She felt the carriage shake as someone climbed up into it. Hanji desperately wanted to see if it was someone she knew or if it was just another bandit, but the blindfold kept her in the dark. The footsteps stopped right in front of her. Hanji tugged against her bonds. She whimpered when a hand touched her cheek.

"It's me," a very familiar voice said.

"Lleeehhh!" Hanji exclaimed.

Levi pulled the fabric from her eyes and removed the other two pieces from her mouth. He quickly released her from the ropes. Hanji fell into his arms.

"You came for me," she said through sobs.

"Y-you came..."

Levi held her close.

"Of course I came," he said, stroking her hair.

"I will always come for you."

Hanji smiled through her tears. Relief flooding her body, knowing she was safe and with Levi.

"Let's get you home," Levi said, wiping her tears away.

Hanji nodded slightly in response. Levi wrapped his cloak around her and picked her up.

"Tch," he muttered, getting out of the carriage.

"What?" Hanji asked.

"Nothing, my stupid horse ran off," Levi grumbled.

"Actually, it was Jaeger's horse, so that explains it."

"I...I'm sorry," Hanji said quietly.

"You came out here because of me..."

"Don't apologize," Levi said.

"None of this was your fault. I will happily walk back knowing you're safe."

Hanji rested her head on his shoulder.

"I'm glad you found me," she said weakly.

"Shhh, rest now," Levi replied.

Hanji closed her eyes, finally able to feel she was safe.

"I was always going to find you Hanji." Levi thought.

He started to head back towards the castle. It wasn't that far by horse, but it would take most of the night the get there. Luckily, most of the titans had been cleared from that area the morning before. Levi couldn't help it and found himself holding Hanji close. He didn't realize till now how much he actually cared about her.

Early morning-

Erwin was woken by a pounding on his door.

"What?" he grumbled answering it.

Standing outside was Moblit and he was panting and looked a little shaken.

"He...he found her," Moblit said.

"What are you talking about?" Erwin asked.

"Levi, he found Hanji," Moblit replied.

Erwin's eyes went wide. He grabbed his coat and ran outside with Moblit, and a bunch of the other Scouts. A small figure appeared in front of the rising sun. As they neared, everyone could see it was Levi and in his arms, was Hanji. Cheers erupted from everyone and they ran out to meet the pair.

"Captain! You found her!" Eren exclaimed.

"What happened?" Erwin asked.

"Bandits ambushed her and took her captive, they were going to sell her at some auction type thing," Levi replied.

Hanji whined and opened her eyes. The first thing she was all the dark figures crowded around her. She felt her heart rate increase as fear flooded her body.

"N-no..." Hanji said in a shaky voice.

"Get away! LEAVE ME ALONE!"

She began to struggle in Levi's arms.

"GET AWAY FROM ME!!!" Hanji screamed.

Levi knew immediately what this reaction was from.

"What's wrong with her?" Jean said.

"I-I don't know," Sasha replied.

"BACK OFF BRATS!" Levi yelled.

Everyone jumped back in shock. Hanji was crying by now, she hid her face in Levi's neck. He could feel her trembling.

"Sir?" Eren said.

"Do not crowd her." Levi snapped, glaring at everyone.

He walked past everyone, quietly comforting Hanji. Hanji clung tightly to him. Levi walked right to her room and into the washroom. He carefully set Hanji down. She pulled her knees to her chest and hid her face. Levi knelt down in front of her. He gently pulled her arms away from her face.

"Hanji, look at me," Levi said softly.

She looked up at him with tear filled eyes.
