Marianna
"Mariannnaaaaa, wake up!" I felt someone shake me as I turned away. "Go away." I mumbled and put my face into the pillow. "Marianna Lee, there's people coming you need to get up and get ready!" I groaned and looked up at my twin brother. His smile made me smile back before tackling him into a hug. "Hey!" He said laughing with me. We kept laughing as I rolled over onto my back and looked at our room.

We had posters and our drawings hanging on the walls. Then there was our closet that we shared since we wore each other's band tees a lot, not to mention I steal his flannels and sweatshirts too. I sighed and stood up with Dylan's help. "I guess I have to get ready then. Will you go get me a granola bar? Pleaseeeee?" He smirked at me and pulled a granola bar out of his pocket. "Already got it!" I smiled at him and went into the closet to get an outfit. "What's the temp out?" I asked still looking through shirts. "Pants and a t-shirt." I nodded at his response. Then pulled out a white shirt and Dylan's black and blue flannel. I went to my dresser and grabbed my black ripped overalls. "Dylan hurry up in the bathroom idiot!" I groaned leaning up against the door. The door opened and I fell into him laughing at myself. He laughed at me and then pushed me in, shutting the door behind him. I got dressed quickly and unlocked the door just incase he needed back in. I tied the flannel around my waist and did my hair. I straightened it and pinned the front back. As I looked in the mirror I thought of my family. How I have my mother nose and my fathers eyes. "You look a lot like Aleshia right now." Dylan said walking into the bathroom. As he said that I grabbed onto my necklace, it was a gift from Aleshia she gave one to me and one to Dylan, it is a gold chain with a small cork bottle that has a tiny key on the inside. I pulled said necklace out from under my shirt. My eyes teared up but I forced them back. He wrapped an arm around me as I leaned on his shoulder. "I miss her too Mar. I miss her too." I smiled slightly at him through the mirror and walked over to my bed to put shoes on. I slipped on a pair of black combat boots and finished off my granola bar. "Everyone downstairs please!" I heard Miss Ana yell from downstairs.

Dylan and I made our way downstairs and said good morning to the other kids and to Miss Ana as well. Everyone here is nice to one another, it's really great. As everyone made their way downstairs we lined up by age against a wall while Miss Ana talked to people waiting in the interview room. Of course Dylan and I stood together since we are twins. We were like the oldest kids here surprisingly. I bounced my leg out of habit, dang it nerves calm down. I felt Dylan grab my hand and I looked up at him. "Why do you get to be the tall one?" I pouted as he squeezed my hand gently and smiled innocently. We waited a little longer before Miss Ana went back into the room. "I'm sorry Dylan and Ana they weren't interested in twins so they didn't feel the need to interview you two. We'll get 'em next time though, right?" We frowned slightly but nodded our heads. "Cheer up guys that just means you get to stick around and be with us for a little longer!" A girl, whose name is Mikayla, said to us. We looked at each other and smiled slightly. "We we aren't going anywhere without each other so I guess that means you're stuck with us." I stuck my tongue out at her as all the other kids laughed. I watched as the couple walked out of the interview room with Tommy, a little 5 year old boy that Miss Ana had raised. "He deserves a family Dylan. We were the only family he ever had." Dylan smiled down at me and squeezed my hand once more. "We at least got to know our family. One day though we'll have another family that will love us as much as mum, dad, and Aleshia did. I promise you that." He said looking at Tommy as he ran over to us. "Mari! Dylan! I'm getting adopted!" I let go of Dylan's hand and picked Tommy up as he hugged me. "That is wonderful Tommy! Now don't you forget about us you hear me?" He nodded and smiled widely before jumping onto Dylan. We both laughed at Tommy's behavior and kneeled down to his height. "Now you be good, no back talk, okay? We all want you to be happy, and on your way out give Miss Ana a big hug and kiss on the cheek, she deserves it." His smile brightened and he ran over to Miss Ana. All of us kids said bye to Tommy and watched as he and his new family drove off and another car pulled up. "More people we weren't expecting more people? Kids! Everyone hurry line back up there's more people!" Miss Ana frantically pushed us all back in the building and we scrambled to look presentable and calm as we lined back up.

"Dylan, Marianna, you're turn." We walked into the interview room and smiled at the people before us. It was two men, one had red hair and a nose ring and a patterned button up with shorts, while the other had a shaved head and a white t-shirt with black jeans on. They looked oddly familiar. "Hi I'm Dylan and this is my twin sister Marianna." I waved shyly at the two in front of me and their smiles seemed to brighten. "Marianna, that's unique. Well I'm Tyler and this is Josh." I smiled lightly at them and shrugged. "It's nice to meet you. And my name is a mix of Marina and Arianna. My parents fought over what to name me so they decided to put them together, but poor Dylan over here just got plain old Dylan." The two laughed at us as Dylan shoved me and stuck his tongue out.

"So what music do you guys listen to?" Josh, I think that was his name, said. "We like bands you know like Nirvana, Green Day, Pierce the veil, Panic at the disco, Sleeping with sirens, so on and so forth." They nodded at the answer and looked at each other quickly. "Have you ever heard of twenty one pilots? They're good to me at least." Tyler said smirking slightly. "Uh yeah I've heard a few of their songs I think, we don't have phones so we hear the songs on the radio and half the time we don't know who they're from." Tyler's face lit up and he looked at Josh and nodded excitedly. "So we have a few things to tell you, we want to adopt you and that we think, first, you should know that we are twenty one pilots. I'm Josh Dun, the drummer, and he's Tyler Joseph, the lead singer. We want to warn you first because since we are famous everything is a little hectic." I nodded slowly and looked at Dylan from the corner of my eye, he nodded to me and we both smiled at the two. "We'd love that and thank you for the heads up, but I have a question of my own and I think Mar here is think the same thing. Are you two together or...? If you are that's perfectly fine, nothing wrong with that, we're just curious." Dylan raised his eyebrows at the two and Josh laughed slightly. "No, no. We aren't together, I'm married. We wanted to adopt but we figured you guys would just get Josh's last name and that would technically make you his kids. That's fine with me I can be the fun uncle." Tyler laughed a little and smiled at us two before standing up. We all followed suit and Miss Ana sent us up to our room. As soon as we got up there I turned to Dylan and hugged him. "It's finally happening Dylan. We're gonna have a family!" We cried while clinging onto each other. When we parted and I pulled his necklace out from under his shirt, his is the same gold chain and bottle, but it has a tiny lock on the inside. "Promise you'll always be here, Dylan." I could feel his eyes on me but I couldn't bring myself to look up. "I promise Marianna, I promise."
