I was in my history class, which Alaric is my teacher. Stefan Salvatore is also in my class. Which sucks. "William," I heard my name. I looked up and saw Ric staring at me. I raised my eyebrows at him to tell him I heard him. "Are you paying attention?" He asked. I know I'll get in trouble for not listening, but if I lie he will make me say what he just taught and I'll get in trouble anyway. "No sir," I replied. Alaric gave me a disappointed look before writing something on a piece of paper. "Are you feeling well, William?" He asked and I shrugged. He nodded. "Go to the office," he said and held the paper out for me. I hesitated, but stood up and grabbed my bag. I slung my bag over my shoulder and walked to him. I grabbed the paper and walked out, not saying a single word. I walked to the office and sighed, keeping my head down. "William?" I heard a familiar voice. My head shot up and I saw my father, Elijah Mikaelson, standing there looking at me. "Hi dad," I said softly and walked past him, but he grabbed my arm and stopped me. "Look at me," he said. I looked up at him. "What have you done?" He asked. I looked down at the paper and handed it to him, even though I would get in trouble. He looked at it before grabbing it from my hand. "I see," he said after reading it. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go to the principal," I said and tried to walk away, but he pulled me back. "Why?" He asked me. I looked at him confused. "You read the note, I was told to go to the office," I said. "No son," He said and let go off my arm. "It says, 'I am sending William to the office to call home. He isn't feeling well,'" he read and showed me. "Oh," I muttered. "I'll check you out and you can tell me what's happened," he said. I nodded and looked down. "Have a seat," he said. I listened and sat in one of the seats and pulled my right knee to my chest and rested my chin upon my knee. The bell rang and kids started to file out of the classrooms, going to their next class. "Hey, Elijah," I heard. I kept my chin where it was and looked up with my eyes. "Hello, Alaric," dad replied. "I have something I want to discuss with you, about William," He said and looked at me. Dad looked at me and my eyes found there way to the ground. "Of course," my father replied. "Would you and William care to come to my classroom to talk?" I heard Ric ask. "Yes, William," I looked up. "Follow," he said. I stood and obey, following behind him and Ric. We got to Alarics classroom and I sat in my normal seat and I crossed my arms on the desk and laid my head in my arms. "Elijah, William has been very unfocused lately. It has me worried," I heard Alaric tell my father. "He has?" Dad asked and I could feel his eyes on me. "Is that true, William?" I heard him asked. I nodded my head, not moving from my position. "I don't understand why he has been unfocused, but it does have me very worried. He is normally at the top of his game all the time!" I hear Ric. I sighed quietly and closed my eyes, wanting to go home. "William, look at me son," I heard. I turned my head and looked at him, but keeping my head down. "What's wrong?" He asked. My eyes looked down and I stayed silent. I could feel the confused and worried stare my father was giving me. "I just wanna go home," I mumbled. I heard a whoosh and I could feel a presence next to me. "Look at me son," I heard my dad. My eyes looked up at him. I saw his confused and worried expression. He crouched next to me so we were face to face and my eyes followed him. "What's wrong?" He asked. "I don't know," I answered honestly. I could tell he was confused. My eyes looked back down before closing. I felt a hand rub my back. "Let's go home," I heard him. I slowly stood up and followed him. "Thank you, Ric, I'll find out what's wrong," dad said. "Bye Uncle Ric," I said softly before leaving with my dad. We got to his car and I got in. "Are you sad, son?" Elijah asked me. "I don't know," I replied quietly and leaned my head back against the seat and closed my eyes. I suddenly felt a hand in my forehead. "You feel warm, are you getting sick?" I was asked. "I don't know," I mumbled. We got home and we went in. "Go change into something comfortable and come back down," I was told. "Okay," I said softly and walked upstairs. I went to my room and hung my bookbag on the hook. I kicked off my shoes and grabbed my black sweatpants and red short sleeve shirt with black sleeves. I went to my bathroom and took a quick shower. I finished and changed. My dark brownish black hair still damp and in my face. I didn't feel like fixing it, so I left it and went downstairs. There I saw dad on the couch. "Come here, my son," he said and held his arm out. I walked to him and sat next to him and curled myself in a ball and snuggled up next to him. He wrapped arms around me and hugged me. "Are you feeling unwell?" Elijah asked me. "No," I said softly. "Oh, is my sweet nephew not feeling well?" We heard. We both looked towards the voice. "Niklaus," my father said. I just lifted my arms and reached for him. He smiled and walked over to me. "What are you doing here?" Elijah asked as my uncle Nik picked me up. "I've come to visit," he answered as I wrapped my legs around his torso and hid my face in his neck as he rubbed my back. "Just yourself?" I heard father ask. "Camille has come with me, along with Hope and Harold," Nik spoke as he swayed side to side with me in his arms. "Now," Nik said softly as he continued to rub my back. "How are you not feeling well?" He asked me softly. "Do you feel sick?" He asked. I stayed silent and snuggled farther into his neck. "He's been like this all day from what I've been told," Elijah told him. I could tell that confused Nik, but he didn't say anymore. "Maybe he is getting a cold," Nik started and kissed my head. "He always become clingy when he does," he finished. He pulled away and looked me in the eye. "Are you feeling sick?" He asked. I stayed silent and tried to his my face in his neck again, but he sat on the couch next to Elijah and kept me in front of them. "Elijah, is he on vervain?" Nik asked. "No, he is not," Elijah said and I looked at him. "I don't wanna be compelled!" I whined and he tilted his head and looked at me confused. "William, my son, we do not want to compel you," he said and leaned a little closer to me. "We just want to know," he finished. I looked down. "Son," I heard my father. I kept my head down, afraid of being compelled. "William, son please just tell us," Elijah said. "I don't feel sick," I said softly. "I just need my family," I added quietly. I looked up and saw my father smile softly at me. "Is that all you wanted?" He asked and ran his fingers through my hair. "Is some cuddle time?" He added. I looked down. I blushed lightly and leaned forward into Niks chest. He put his hand on me head and Elijah rubbed my back. "Dad!" We heard a yell. We looked at the door and saw Christian, my brother. "Hey, uncle Nik," he sighed. "Dad Josep-" "Shut up Chris!" He was interuppted my other brother, Joseph. "Joseph, do not interuppted," dad scolded him and stood. "What we're you saying, Christian?" He asked and walked over to them. "Joseph got expelled," Christian finished. "What happened?" Elijah asked. "He got in a fight and broke a kids arm," Chris explained. "Why have I not gotten a call from the school?" He asked. "He told the principal you were busy and out of town, so they called me," he told dad. "Is that true, Joseph?" Dad asked him. "Yeah, but he deserved it!" Joey yelled the end part. I looked away, knowing Joey was about to get in trouble. "Joseph Thomas, do not yell at me," father warned. I heard Joseph huffed. "Whatever!" I heard followed by multiple slapping sounds. "Last warning!" I heard my dad threaten. "Go to your room. Do not come out until I say," I heard dad's voice then stomps going up the stairs. "Hello, Christian! How was your day?" I heard dad ask. "It was fine," Chris replied. "Where is Emily?" Nik asked. As if on cue my sister, Emily, walked in the house. "Emily! Why are you late?" I heard dad ask. "Joey left at the school and when I called I heard him and Chris argue and a slapping sound!" She said. "He is in major trouble," I heard dad say with anger. "Hello my sweet Emily Ann," I heard Nik. "Hi Uncle Nik!" I heard her. I felt someone hug Nik before walking away. I closed my eyes and sleep took over me as I feel asleep in Niks arms.
