The sun was out. The birds were chirping. And a little morning breeze entered by my window.I was up all night. Sometimes crying, sometimes staring at my wall out of trauma. I was sitting on floor, my back against the wall.
I still had the lingerie on. I couldn't move after last night. I wanted it to end. I wanted Jayce back.
Suddenly, I hear my alarm ring. It was time to go to school. But I was dead inside. I didn't want to even eat. Going to school was the last thing on my mind. And then I thought; maybe Jayce was back! Maybe after last night, he let Jayce go! He did say he forgave me...
It was worth a try. With that thought in my head, I was motivated enough to get up and go.
_____________
I stood right in front of Jayce's locker. He never showed up. And then the first bell rang. Maybe he's already in class! I wanted to be positive, it was my only hope. If I let go of myself now, I'd break down.
I run to history class. I enter, my eyes searching for Jayce. He was nowhere to be found.
"Good morning Aaliyah." I hear. I turn around and saw Mr. Clark with a smile that reached his ears.
"Uh... Morning sir." I say. I was going to turn back around but Mr. Clark says "Aaliyah, how many times do I have to tell you... Call me Noah. Sounds good when you say it." smirking.
"Ok." I didn't have time for this shit. I was done with his "Noah" bullshit.
I sat on my seat. Waiting once again for Jayce. It felt like a deja-vu from yesterday.
For some reason, Mr.Clark was checking homework today, he had never done that before. The only day I hadn't done mine, he had to check. He quickly passed everyone, vaguely looking at their books. And then he reached my spot.
"Show me your work Aaliyah." he asks with his signature semi smirk-smile
"I didn't do it, sorry, I was bus-"
"Listen Aaliyah, I'm disappointed. Your grades aren't where I want them to be. You can do so much better. And I do not want any excuses right now." Mr.Clark says.
My grades were fine, I was one of the toppers in class.
"I don't understand. My gra-"
"I'm giving you 2 options, ether you get detention for 2 weeks or I tutor you once a week." he says interrupting me again.
2 WEEKS !?!?!? What for, not done homework!??! Was he crazy??!? No one else got this shit!?!
"2 weeks every day after school for an hour, you come to my class." he adds.
There was no way I was seeing him EVERY day after school for 2 WEEKS! Are teachers even allowed to do that?!?
"Um... What about tutoring? How will that work?" I ask. It had to be better then 2 weeks of detention.
"Again, once a week I tutor you for an hour, every Thursday." he answers.
I think about it. Once a week seemed much better then everyday. The choice was simple.
"I guess tutoring is preferable." I say.
"Great, we start today. Come at my house after school. I'll give you my address after class finishes."
Wait what... HOUSE!?!? No one mentioned a house!! I had to go to my teachers' HOUSE!!!
I froze on the spot.
