Book 2 || Chapter 1

" well, well, well... what do we have here " Aro says waking dangerously close to me.

" It looks like I was right" he says examining me.

I glare at him " It doesn't matter if it worked or not, I will never work for the Volturi"

"We'll see about that" he says turning his gaze back to the other vampires.

"You all seem to have forgotten how our world operates " Aro says to all the Cullen's.

"If you hadn't locked us up, there would've been no need for all of this" Emmet retorts.

Aro completely ignores him.

"There was no need for you to escape, but since you did.... there will be serious consequences to what you have all done"

{Cullen household}

It had been a few days and surprisingly Aro had let us go, on one condition though.

You see, Aro had already chosen what our punishment was, he said that we were to go to war against them, there must be some sort of catch though but I haven't figured out what it was.

We could get as many accomplices as we wanted, it was like when we fought for Reneesme except that I wasn't involved in that.

"We could try what we did with Reneesme's case again" Rosalie says.

"No that would be way to obvious and predictable" Edward responds.

"Well then what do you suggest we do?" Reneesme speaks up.

Everyone just shrugs, no ideas coming to mind. "I guess we just fight" I say.

"We won't win that way, they have several advantages that we don't have" Carlisle replies.

"What do you suggest we do then?! Just let them kill us?!?" I say loosing my temper.

"I'll ask Aro myself if we can sort things out the human way, by talking and reasoning with each other"

"Bullshit. That's suicide." Emmet says.

Carlisle gives him a look and says, "That's our only option, unless you all want to fight to your death"

"But what about all your friends? Couldn't they help us?" Reneesme asks with a worried expression.

""I will not ask them to risk their lives for our wellbeing" He says firmly.

That seems just like Carlisle, he'd never put his friends in danger... but my friends... they would be happy to help... if it means they can kill some vampires I'm sure they would, so.... yes, they'd help.. I think..

"I know what we're going to do" I whisper to myself.

"What?" Reneesme asks.

"I know what we're going to do" I say louder to everyone in the room.

Carlisle gives me the go on look.

"We are not going to get help from Carlisle's friends. We are going to get help from my friends"

Reneesme looks at me, confusion spread across her face.

"Who exactly? Because I don't think your human friends would be much help"

"Not humans, werewolves" I state.

"The pack?"

"No, the- you know what never mind, yes the pack Reneesme" I say.

She gives me a look, "but that's exactly what we did when you all were fighting for me, so, wouldn't it still be obvious?"

"Well we can't really do anything else because Carlisle won't let us get help from his friends"

"I won't ask them to fight" Carlisle says firmly.

"We might as well be dead now if we're not going to ask for help!" I exclaim.

"She's right," Alice says. "I had a vision, I think I know what to do"

Finally, a plan.

"What was it?" Reneesme asks.

"In my vision, I saw all of Carlie's abilities. If we just train her, she'll be all we need to win"

I look at her puzzled, "Me?"

"You are the strongest vampire that I've ever seen Carlie, you're our only hope" Alice says.

"But, we'll surely need backup... right? I mean you all can't just rely on me for everything"

"Our backup will be the pack, they'll be there to fight along with us, if they're up to it of course" Carlisle says.

I nod silently.

"Alright then, it's settled," Edward says. "I'll go and see if I can get the pack to help us while Carlie is figuring out her abilities"

"I'll train her," Jasper says. "After all, I am the most experienced in this sort of battle."

Edward nods in agreement and leaves, I'm assuming he went to talk to the Sam.

"Emmet will help you manage your inner and outer strength, since he is the strongest" Jasper says breaking me away from my thoughts.

"Rosalie will help you manage your anger"

"And Alice will help you figure out any unknown powers, whilst Carlisle and Esme will be making sure you do everything up to my standards" Jasper finishes.

"Okay... When do I start?"
