Ellwood's parents actually kinda shoved flower language down his throat when he was a kid because all of the other kids his age in his village were learning it too. He really wasn't a fan of it at first but he's come around and learned to love flower language because it's so interesting and complex.
It also helps that now he has a boyfriend to make cute obscure bouquets for.
