Skylar POV

I drag my feet as I get off the plane. Exhausted from the flight and sick from my stomach. I ate too many peanuts."Mom, what if people recognize me?" I ask while I flip my hoodie over my head and tug at my sleeves to hide my scars as people begin to stare.
"Well, let's get out of here then"

Three Hours Later

We finally pull up to the house. I haven't been back since the day I first left. It looks the exact same. I wonder if Logan still lives next door?"You should go say Hi to Logan sweetheart. It would be good for you. You know get back in touch with your friends before school starts again in a couple of days. Winter break is almost over." She suggests as if she just read my mind.
"No thanks I'd rather take a nap in my own bed. It's calling me!" I groaned as I declined.
"No. Go say hi. I will take your bags down and to your room for you." My dad insisted.
"Do I have too?" I whined. I literally just got here. I am in no condition to go see Logan right now.
"Yes" my mom and dad replied sternly.
"Okay fine. Can I at least shower and change?" I ask, beacuse I look like a hot mess right now. My hair is thrown up in a messy bun and I am currently wearing a hoodie and shorts. What can I say? I dressed for a California Winter. Not a Summerstein one.
"Sure," mom mumbles as she hands me my smallest suitcase. I take it in my hands and lazily walk up the pathway and onto the front porch. I opened the door and a million memories flashed through my mind.
I never realized how homesick I was until I walked the empty halls of my childhood home.
I smiled as I passed my favorite picture of my friends and family and I at a Picnic in the towns' local park. We were all so happy that day. That was the day I was signed to the Record Label. This was our celebration picture.
A few tears escaped my eyes as I ran my hand over the smooth glass of the frame. I blinked the tears away and made my way up the stairs to my room. It was exactly the way I left it.
Baby blue walls. Queen sized bed with stuffed animals littered across the comforter. All my posters of my idols in the music industry. My closet filled with my clothes from when I was 14. My bunny slippers right below my beside table. Begging to be worn again. I slipped them on. In a strange way they still fitted.
I walked across the room and opened up the door leading to my bathroom and got the hot water running. I took a steaming twenty-minute shower. I went through about three outfits before I stumbled upon this one.

I left my suitcase wide open on my bed after getting dressed. I'll just put it away later. There's no room in my closet right now until I clean it out. Which will not be happening today.
"Bye mom. Bye dad. I'm going to Logan's just as you guys requested" I shouted as I walked out the door.
