Skylar POV
{~~~~~~}
Ten Minutes Later
{~~~~~~}
We finally arrive at James' House. He lives three blocks away from May. Which is convenient for this weather."So, how should we do this? How should we surprise James?" Logan asks me. I purse my lips in thought while I look around the street. "Hmm...how about I ask him if he wants to buy Girl Scout Cookies?" I ask, doubtful and excited at the same time. "You and your cookies!" He sighs, shaking his head. I break out into a fit of laughter. I laugh for about three minutes straight, while he repeatedly tries to quiet me down.
"First of all... you guys are so loud I can hear you all the way from my bedroom upstairs! Second of all, SKYLAR!" James shouts from his bedroom window. Logan and I whip out heads up to meet his eyes as he leans out his window.
"Fuck" Logan and I both curse in unison. Which sends us both into a laughing fit this time.
"You look great Skylar" James compliments me as he climbs out of his window. "Thank you, and what the heck are you doing? In case you didn't notice, you are two stories up!!" I ask him. "Watch and learn," he says as he sends me a wink. He really hasn't changed. He begins climbing down his wall as if he's done it a hundred times before. Which, I don't entirely doubt.
After about twenty five seconds of awkward silence, James finally jumps off the wall for the last remaining three feet or so. He jogs up to me and gives me a giant hug. He squeezes me so hard, I think he just might break my spine. And every other bone in my body.
"Okay. Okay. You're hurting me" I squeak. "Sorry" he laughs as he releases me. "Damn. You look old," he teases. I gasp and smack him in the chest. "That's a good thing. You don't look fourteen anymore!" He defends. I just shake my head and roll my eyes. He definitely has not changed. Except appearance wise. He looks good. Not better than Logan but, nonetheless good.
"So, does May know you're home yet?" He asks, as him Logan and I all begin walking towards May's house, with me in the middle. But I'm not complaining, all this body heat really makes a difference.
"No, I'm going to surprise her. I'm going to knock on her door and ask for a cup of sugar. Since we both love sweets" I say, sending a glare to Logan for making fun of me for it earlier. "What!?" He asks with a very outside voice, and by that I mean loudly, while lifting his hands and shrugging his shoulders. I shoot him another glare.
"You know what you did. Anyways...so Yeah that's the plan. Let's see if we pull this one off at least." I finish. "Cool, but we should hang out at May's for a while. This way we can all catch up," James suggests. "Sounds good" Logan and I both say in unison, again. We all laugh again.
"Okay, we really need to stop that"I say once I catch my breath. He just smiles as a form of agreement. We reach May's house and the boys go to hide in her bushes while I walk up her pathway and knock on the door.
*Knock.Knock.Knock*
"Hello? Anyone home?" I ask disguising my voice as a little girl. "Coming" I hear someone shout from behind the door.
The door swings open to reveal a green faced May. "Can I have a cup of sugar?" I ask raising my eyebrows in question."Omg! When did you get here? Why? How? Omg!" She squeals. I laugh as I wrap her into a hug. A few tears fill my eyes. Tears of joy. How could they not. She is my best friend. Since we were five in kindergarten. We bonded over animal crackers.
"I missed you too," I whisper, as the few tears roll down my cheek and land in her hair. We pull apart and smile at eachother. "This is amazing!" She exclaims.
"I have one more surprise!" I add. The boys jump out of the bushes and join May in screaming. I guess they noticed her face mask.
"What the hell is on your face!" James shouts with horror plastered on his face and Logan's.
"Shut up!" She yells with her hands on her hips.
"No, but really what is that?" Logan asks. May and I both roll our eyes. "It's a face mask. Duh" she says.
"Now that that is all cleared up. Can we please go inside?" I ask practically shivering as I tug at my sleeves, making sure my two scars aren't showing. They are fading a bit, but I'm still super selfconciosus. "Oh shit, of course sorry," May apologizes as she opens the door for us all to come in.
Her house is so warm. Now this is better. "Are your parents home?" I ask. "Nah, they went on a couples weekend getaway. I think," She says.
"Cool. So who's down for a movie marathon?" Logan asks rubbing his hands together. We all reply with words of agreement.
"I'll make some popcorn," May volunteers. "I'll help" I add, as I follow her into her kitchen. "Nice kitchen!" I say as I let out a whistle. "Thanks, we had it remodeled a few months ago" she smiles. "Oh shit, I forgot I still had This face mask on. I'll be back. Watch the popcorn yeah? Then we can catch up on gossip and all that once we are all eating popcorn and watching movies" she asks, talking so fast I thought she would choke on her own saliva. Classic May. "Of course," I agree.
As the last popcorn bag finishes in the microwave, I being pouring it into a seperate smaller bowl than the other three bags were poured into, as Logan walks into the Kitchen.
"Need help?" He asks. "Yes please," I say as I try to balance both bowls in once hand and a box of capri-suns in the other. He lets out a low laugh as he walks over to me and grabs the two bowls from me, leaving me in charge of the juice pouches. His warm hand brushing against my cold fingertips, I get goosebumps all up my arms.

"So what movie should we watch?" May asks from the corner of her living room near the bookcase filled with movies.
"Monte Carlo?" I suggest
"Harry Potter for sure!" Logan adds.
"Those movies suck. Lilo and Sticth is where it's at" Jimmy protested.

(A/N: Hahaha. Anyone get it? No? Okay, back to the story)

We all turn to James in confusion.
"Don't deny it you guys!" He says.
"I agree with Lilo and Sticth. Everyone else?" May asks.
"Sure, why not?" Logan shrugs. "I'm down," I add. "Alright" May says as she pops the DVD into the DVD player.I lay down on the loveseat with a bowl of popcorn on my lap while May curls up into her blanket on the recliner and James is sprawled out on the floor. Logan looks for a spot to sit.
I sit up and pat the seat beside me, smiling."Thanks," he says as he sits down covering us with the blanket that was resting on the back of the sofa. I pull the blanket up to my chin and lean on his shoulder. Only to make it easier to share the blanket, of course. I feel him tense up beneath me and I just laugh in my head.
"Okay, now that we are all settled, and the movie is playing, tell us about California! Is it cool? How is the walk of fame?! Are you friends with any celebrities? Is it hot? Tell me everything!" May demands. "What about Disneyland? The beach? Have you met Stitch yet?" James pipes in.
"Okay, slow down!" I laugh sitting up straighter. I knew they were going to ask more questions. I was prepared
"Califorina is amazing! The walk of fame is pretty darn cool. I'm friends with too many celebrities to name. Very hot. Disneyland is probably my favorite part about Califorina, besides my house. And I have not met Stitch yet, saldy." I manage to say all in one breath.

Many Movies and Even More Questions Later

After our seventh movie, I look around to see everyone sound asleep. I grab the remote from beside me and switch the TV off. I snuggle closer to Logan and bury my face into the blanket we are sharing. As I close my eyes, I feel him wrap an arm around me. My cheeks heat up as I smile a smile that would make anyone think I was crazy. I feel myself drift off into sleep a few minutes later.
