Percy's POV:
I'm leaving camp. Leaving New York. Leaving my demigod life behind. I just can't take it anymore- being a demigod. Every day you live, you become more at risk. So, I have to get away from it all. I know, I know- it sounds so selfish, but I've got to move on and be who I am, I just don't belong there, I hope they understand. We might find a place in this world some day, but at least for now, I've got to go my own way.
I'm sure that I'm not the only demigod to feel this way, but most demigods haven't been in two wars in two years, then thought one of their best friends was dead, but they actually are alive. It's all too painful. Also, most demigods haven't survived Tartarus- only me, Annabeth, and Nico.
Mom and Paul are coming with me too. Wait- sorry- I forgot to say where we're going. Well, we're moving to Australia. I don't know where, as mom and Paul haven't told me yet, but I'm moving to a place far, far away from the Gods and all their problems. Apparently, we're staying with some family on my mom's side (well, obviously it wouldn't be my dad's). I'm really looking forward to having a normal family for once- no Gods and no monsters. Just a normal family.
