I decided that these chapters will be VERY short, because I wanna organize the scenes separately. I also decided that this story won't be long but yeaaah. I'm assuming less than 25 short chapters. I'm too lazy to proof read or edit so yeah. Blah.
"I would have said something, but everytime I went back here to find you, you avoided me. I swore to myself that I would ask you out on a proper date if I ever got the chance to meet you again. Now, it's too late because you're engaged." Liam replied.
Is that would have happened?
Did the stupid sixteen year old me ruin the chances of falling in love with her best friend because of her grudges? But then again, why should I care? I was supposed to be in love with Mikey right now and marry him soon.
"I'm sorry for that..." I said, barely audible.
Liam Payne decided to show up in my life again, and made me conflicted. Here I was engaged to someone, and now I'm confused. Honestly, did those teeny little girl feelings I had for him when I was young decide to reveal that they were still there now? I didn't like the answer, because it was yes. I looked up at Liam and a tear fell from my eye. I then stared at the ground to avoid eye contact.
"It's all my fault..." I said softly.
"Ade?" he called out my name.
"Yes?"
"Do you still have feelings for me?" he asked and traced circles again on my knee. I took a big shuddering breath. I started twisting the engagement ring on my finger back and forth. "I can't say no." I bit my lip so hard that I could taste the blood.
"Then will you go out on just one date with me? It doesn't have to be serious, it's just one date and I won't do a move on you at all." Liam asked me with pleading eyes.
"I'd like too, since I ruined all the chances of-"
"Don't say that, fate decided all of this. What happened, happened and there's no stopping it." Liam said.
"Fine, I won't."
"Well, then our date will be next week and I guess I'll meet you at the diner?"
"Yeah, I guess so."
And after that we left on our own. I dialed Maddy's number and then started to drive. Her voice rang through the cell on speaker phone as it laid out flat on the dashboard.
"Hey! What's up?" Maddy asked.
"I just agreed to go on a date with Liam Payne."
"YOU WHAT?!"
"You heard me..."
"But you're engaged to Michael!"
"I am, but it's not a serious date or anything."
"I thought you didn't like Liam since he left you...." Maddy's voice trailed off.
"I'm confused. The sixteen year old girl that liked him decided to reveal itself today."
"Oh snap. You still like him."
"Yep."
"And you're engaged!"
"Life sucks."
"Man, Liam is a homewrecker! HOME WRECKKKKKEEEER!" Maddy's voice boomed through the phone. She started laughing like crazy, but I dealt with it anyway since she tends to laugh at bad situations. (She laughed at a funeral. Tell me that's a great time to laugh. No. Just no.)
"Think about it! Some of these One Direction songs are homewrecker songs!" Maddy laughed again and then started singing their songs.
"I-I! I wanna save ya! Save ya heart ton-i-ght! He'll only break ya!" The Label, Homewrecker was written all over this lyric.
"When he opens his arms and holds you close tonight, it just won't feel right! Cause I can love you more than this!" Homewrecker was pretty much the whole entire song!
The part that added even more insanity to all of this was that it didn't feel like Liam was the homwrecker.
It felt like Mikey was.
