I know I haven't updated this story in a very, VERY long time. So here is chapter 12, I'm sorry that it took me so long, I've just been dedicated to writing Survival, which also has the most reads out of all of my stories (Thanks!!). If you would like me to update this more often, then please tell me in the comments!!

After I had ran from the house, I found myself roaming around the streets. Once I got to the corner I didn't really think it'd be smart to wander anywhere especially because it was getting late now.

I know my mom is upset about my dads death, but its frustrating when she tries to remove him from my life, even if I want the memory of him to stay. I'm not ready to let him go yet.

The air was chilling over here and the streets were empty. I haven't even been paying attention to where I have been going either, my phone is sitting in my room and I've got pajama shorts and a t-shirt on, lets not forget the missing shoes.

I sighed heavily and stopped in the middle of the side walk, I turned around and stared down the block. Everything is so calm, the trees swaying in the wind, and the street lights flickering on to illuminate the streets. I cant really say I like it better than where I've come from, but I do like it.

Finally, I decided it would be best to walk back, and when I took my first step a car horn had beeped from beside me. When I turned my head, there, slowly driving next to me was a red convertible Mustang. Harry sat in the drivers seat. He smiled at me and motioned me to get in.

I shook my head. "I'm not getting in your car."

"Why are you out here at night?" He asked, and when I looked over at him he seemed pretty serious.

"I wanted to walk." I lied. I picked up my pace and tried not to look at him.

"With nothing but pajamas and socks on? C'mon, don't bullshit me." He snapped. He was a bit harsh and when I stopped to look at him he was already parked and getting out of his car.

"Look nothing is wrong, go away." I stuttered, my eyes were wide and I stood there frozen as he stood in front of me. He scared me and I'm sure he could sense it radiating off my body.

"Nothing is wrong Harry." I reassured him. I looked up at him slowly, his eyes told me he was tired, but his body language told me he wasn't believing it. He grabbed my shoulders and brought me in for the most unexpected hug. His face was nuzzled in between my neck and shoulder, and he wrapped his arms around my body, my own laid limp by my side until I finally snapped out of my shock, and wrapped my arms around his neck loosely. This was awkward for me.

"I... Harry look, I'm fine." I removed my arms from around his neck and placed them on his chest to move him away from me. He wouldn't let go though, and when he raised his head to look at me, he had that smirk on his face.

He shook his head. "Oh something is wrong." He quirked. His eyebrows had slightly raised up and the side of his mouth twitched up slightly. "You can get in the car, and we will talk."

"No, I don't want to. Let go of me." I struggled against his grasp on my arm. "I don't want to talk to you about my problems!" I yelled. But he still did not let go.

"Yes okay, something is wrong." I whimpered quietly. He stopped and held my arms.

"Then tell me."

"No, I don't want to talk to you about my problems Harry! I don't even know you! God, you think you can just come into my life a-and demand I tell you things, or give you things, but that's just not how it works! I've known you for two days and you think you own me. No! No, it doesn't work like that. It doesn't." By now, after my little rant, I had finally burst into tears. Without comfort and warmth, his hands had left my body and all he did was stand there.

"Its not easy to forget about someone you love." I sniffled. And after I said that, he pulled me into his arms. I cried there for a couple of minutes with my hands wrapped around his torso. I'm crying on this guy who I've only just met and its the most comforting thing ever. I just cant believe my mom wants to forget like that. I cant do that, even if my dad would want me to. Its way to hard, and I was so close to him.

"I'm sorry." He mumbled while carefully rubbing my back. I buried my head in his flannel and nodded my head. He smelled like... I don't know really, it was very musky and strong. It mixed with a slight scent of something sweet, and minty. There was something here that told me I should pull away, and I did just that. Does he have a girlfriend?

"I'm going to go home." I wiped under my eyes and pulled my shirt down.

"I can take you home." He said, quickly grabbing my hand. It was no question, I knew that. So when he ignored my protests, I could help but whimper.

I pulled at my arm and hit him with my free hand, causing him to stop and turn to me quickly. "Let go of me." I cried.

Everything had happened so fast though, I couldn't comprehend the feeling of his lips on mine. He was holding my arms and pulling me into him, holding me close to his chest. So when I kissed back I could hear his pleasurable groans. I've known him for a little under two days and I'm already kissing him. I couldn't help it though, denying a kiss from him would be a crime.

Our lips moved together and all I could hear was our hard breathing. He had slowed down though, making it much more gentle. He removed one hand from my arm and moved it to the back of my neck. I let my loose arm sling around his neck, bringing him closer.

He removed his lips from mine, and rested his forehead against mine. "Lani." His breathing was heavy, as was mine.

I hummed, nudging my nose with his as we held each other. "Just let me take you home." He begged. I nodded my head against his and let him lead me to the passenger side. He opened the door for me and motioned for me to get in.

"Thanks." I mumbled now awkwardly. It was also quite cold which made me shiver.

"Do you want me to put the top over?" He asked already moving to the back of the car to remove the cover of the roof.

"Sure." I rubbed my arms and waited for him to put the cover in the back. Once he got in his drivers seat he pressed a button which made the roof come forward, turning the convertible into a nice covered car.

"Better?" He asked, rolling up the windows and turning the heat up a bit. I nodded and thanked him.

We drove the rest of the way in silence, passing homes and dark streets. The park we had passed laid under the stars and I almost wish I could just get out of the car and lay out on the play ground to see all of the bright, shiny specs of light.

When Harry pulled up to the gate of the area I was living in, he had typed in numbers and I was so confused as to how he knew the code to the community gate. "How did you know the code?" I asked

He tapped his fingers on the steering wheel lightly. "I saw you type it in the other day." He said simply. I nodded my head and looked forward to see the house coming into view. All the light were on down stairs, and David was sitting on the porch.

Harry parked a couple houses down and turned the car off. Silence was the only thing surrounding us. "Um. I should go." I mumbled. I removed the seat belt and pulled at the lock on the door.

"Lani?" I heard him whisper. When I looked over at him he was looking down at his hands, picking at the skin around his nails.

"Hmm?"

"Do you regret it?"

"The kiss?"

He nodded.

"No."

And whilst getting out of his car, I could see his smile from the corner of my eye.
