chapter 24: the abandoned house

I missed him so much and we didn't talk to each other for a few days.

Ivan started texting me and I didn't want to get too close to him or else things would get messed up.

Ivan: hey :)

Ilona: yes?

Ivan: you still angry with me?

Ilona: nope, I just miss someone.

Ivan: me? (With a smirking emoji)

What's fucking wrong with him?

Ilona: huh? No way.. it's Nick.

Ivan: why what happened?

Ilona: we broke up. He admitted that he was playing with two girls. I'm not sure if he left the other one even though he told me.

Ivan: whoa! Good you broke up

Ilona: stfu.

Ivan: ok ok! Don't be mad. I know I left you and I regret it.

Great, you dickhead.

Ilona: yeah, whatever...

Ivan: really I do miss you sometimes.

Ilona: I don't.

Ivan: I understand it's ok.

I was getting frustrated now so I just saw his message and didn't respond.

*few days later*

I had an idea of how to talk to Nick normally. With the help of my best friend, Olivia, we put up an act.

I decided to text her some words that would touch Nick's heart. I even added that I still loved him. Olivia's job was only to screenshot this to Nick and make him understand I had feelings for him.

*in the evening*

Nick: hey baby..

Ilona: Nick!!

Nick: I love you <3

Ilona: I love you too babe!

Nick: <3

Ilona: shall we meet on Wednesday? School will be released early.

Nick: sure, there is an abandoned house near your school, shall we go there?

I never noticed any house before and I agreed.

Ilona: sure.

Nick: babe, you have a camera? Or one of your friends? We could do a photoshoot.

Ilona: unfortunately no, but I would love to.

Nick: it's okay, we'll do something else. Just cross the road and wait for me there.

Something else? Will it be

Ilona: sure babe.

I wanted to meet him again so I couldn't wait even though I know what was on his mind.

Monday and Tuesday passed quickly and it was finally Wednesday. The bell rang and I rushed outside the school. I could see many school buses going after each other and some of my bus mates waved at me and I waved back.

I crossed the road and after twenty minutes he finally afrived.

He lead me and there was so many trees and the ground was really muddy and my sneakers were getting dirty.

I finally found the house. It had cracked all over the walls and many sorts of greenish plants were growing on them. The roof had collapsed and some pieces of blocks were still on the spot. Inside there were tons of grass growing. It was really quiet in there. The windows were grim but thanks to day light the place was not creepy at all. The house had no doors. The walls inside was really dirty.

I was observing every corner of it but I didn't step any further into the house and stood outside.

"Hi!" I jumped and spun around to see Nick in front of me. He bend down so that I could kiss him on the cheek.

He took my hand and lead me inside.
