Burn

Laughter filled the empty abandoned building as the group from Winks party threw their containers of gasoline about, coating every single inch that they could.

''Burn this shit down to the ground,'' Future shouted as he poured the contents out of the bottle he was holding onto the cracked floorboards, before then sloshing it up the wall too.

''Fuck, yeah, man! Burn this fucking thing down!'' Jimmy agreed throwing his own container about, throwing it up the walls and on the floorboards beneath him.

Tiffany watched the antics from a distance, she was stood by the window that overlooked the front of the house. Every now and then she would have to move to dodge a splash of gasoline, since Iz seemed to be swinging it around not bothering where it landed. She wasn't the only one having to doge it she noticed Sol ducking every now and then to avoid being hit too.

She only moved from the window when she noticed all the guys moving to one of the other rooms, all accept Rabbit. Tiffany frowned as she noticed him drop the plastic container he had been holding, the petrol still leaking out of it.

''Jimmy'' she called, but he ignored her, bending down to look closer at the smashed glass under a broken draw, which seconds ago he had been dowsing it extremely flammable liquid.

Realising he was caught up in his own thoughts she  decided to  cautiously approach behind him to peek over his shoulder. She watched as he held a photo in his hand. It was clearly of a family, all sat around a table, they looked happy. The Photo made Tiffany wonder what had happened to them, they'd lived in the house they were about to burn down, they'd shared memories here, happy and sad. It then made her think, what happened to them? Why'd they leave?

''Oh my god, Jimmy,'' Tiffany's worried tone caused him to snap out of his thoughts. His eyes widened as he realised what she had been looking at, an orange flame begun to lick upwards, making its way from the floor up to the ceiling.  It didn't take long before the whole room around them was near enough captured in the fire.

''What the fuck, you guys!'' He cried out shoving the photo into his pocket before he leapt up and grabbed Tiffany's hand, ''come on follow me,'' he reassured the brunette who seemed to have frozen as a result of the fire consuming the house around her.

Thankfully Jimmy was able to pull her after him as he looked desperately for a way to get him and her out. He dragged her along as he went towards a window, but the drop was to high even for him to jump from. Franticly, running out of options he ran to the next window, noticing that it led onto a small section of roof.

''Tiff you're going to have to jump ok,'' he spoke turning towards her, as he shifted the window open.

''Down there,'' she stuttered, looking over his shoulder and out of the window.

''It's the only way,'' he put his hands on her shoulder, drawing her closer to him, ''I'll catch you ok,'' all Tiffany could do was nod, she was scared, but it was better than being trapped in the burning building.

Tiffany held her breath, watching Jimmy climb out the window and jump down landing upright on the roof below. With him safely out it was her turn, she took another deep breath before gripping the edge of the window pane so she could climb through. Then shaking she let go and it felt as if she was falling, falling for a long time.

''Gotcha,'' the feeling of Jimmy's arms around her caused her to feel safe. She gripped them afraid that if she let got she would only start falling again. She wanted him to hold her for much longer than he did, but what he said next made it impossible at that moment, ''we gotta jump down to my car,'' he whispered.

Slowly she raised her head from where it was rested on his chest to look over at him to see if he was joking or not. The sincerity in his eyes showed her he was telling the whole truth.

''Ok,'' she squeaked out pulling away from him to allow him to make the first leap.

''It's safe, I'll catch you again come on,'' he shouted back up at her the moment he'd landed safely on top of his car. To his surprise it wasn't as far a drop as he had first though, although Tiffany didn't know that. With another deep breath, Tiffany squeezed her eyes shut before once again jumping down; thankfully she landed in Jimmy's arms once more.

---------------------------------------

''Burn! Hey! I burned the house down!'' After their stunt, Tiffany and Jimmy were greeted by a rather enthusiastically shouting Cheddar, who seemed very proud of himself. Tiffany couldn't help but smile a little as she watched him happily dance around with the rest of the group.

''Just warn us next time,'' Tiffany muttered more to Jimmy than to Cheddar, who wasn't exactly listening. Jimmy let out a laugh as he wrapped his arm around her shoulders walking with her over to a set of swings, which gave them a good view of the house burning.

''The roof, the roof. The roof is on fire. We don't need no water let the motherfucker burn. Burn, motherfucker, burn!'' Tiffany had a smile on her face, watching the silhouettes of Sol, Future, Cheddar, Iz and others dance around and chanting.

''It's almost beautiful,'' her smile vanished hearing the sound of Alex's voice.

''It's just a house on fire,'' Tiffany muttered bitterly as Alex lent on the frame of the swing the other side of Jimmy.

''When I was little, I wanted to live in a house like this. You know, how it used to be. You live with your family?'' Tiffany's head had been resting on his shoulder, until he decided to have a full blown conversation with Alex.

''What?'' she mouthed up at him, he just shrugged and mouthed back down at her.

''Sorry.''

''I got out of there as quick as I could. I left home when I was 17. What about you?''

''Sort of the same,'' he mumbled back as the faint sound of sirens could be heard approaching at a distance.

''When you record your demo... I'd really love to be there,'' she gave Jimmy a big flirtatious smirk, which made Tiffany's glare harden.

''Well Er, you see Tiff will be there, so will all the guys. There probably won't be any room,'' he tried to explain, but his stuttering failed to get the message across.

''In the nicest way he's telling you to fuck off,'' Tiffany ground out, causing Alex to be taken aback slightly.

''What have I done to you?'' She questioned.

''You haven't done anything to me, but you did do my boyfriend,'' Tiffany bit back. Alex took a step back looking Tiffany up and down before she started to open her mouth. However, her words were lost as one of her friends approached dragging her away.

''Come let's go home,'' Tiffany nodded, trailing behind him as they made their way back to his car.

The rest of the guys had gotten lifts home from others or just walked, so it was just Jimmy and Tiffany. The journey was silent, it wasn't uncomfortable, the silence allowed them to think, to process what had just happened. Tiffany felt safe with Jimmy, since he had been the one to save her from the fire raging inside the abandoned building. He'd kept his promise and caught her when she'd jumped. Being around him made her forget about Jackson, but as soon as Alex showed up, the memories seem to flood back to her. She still hadn't looked at what he had thrown down at the table in the club, she was too afraid to because if it showed she was, then she wouldn't know what to do. Although the one thing she could count on was Jimmy and the guys to help her.

''What the fuck,'' Jimmy's shout jolted Tiffany out of her thoughts. Her jaw dropped as she noticed the array of police cars, vans and ambulances littered across her street. What made it worse was that there seemed to be a prominent group lingering around outside her house.
