Lost And Found

Chapter 4

Moses P.O.V.

" Vanessa is my one and only girlfriend", Alex said kissing her cheek.

She is taken.
I can't believe it, I lost the love of my life. I am so stupid, I was about to tell her I loved her.I found her and now I've lost her. I had the chance and I blew it.

" I'm Happy for both of you" I said trying to give the best fake smile I could.

"Come in the others are in the living room" Vanessa said gesturing her hands towards the living room.

I walked toward the living room thinking that Vanessa and Alex were right behind me, I looked back and didn't see anyone.

I entered the living room and saw Clair with some other people I didn't know.

"Hey Moses can you imagine that these two are twins" She said pointing towards a girl and a boy who looked alike.

"No i can't" i said frustrated.

"Where's Vanessa and Alex" A slim girl with big lips asked.

"I don't know" I said.

"Their probably Kissing on the roof" A chubby girl said.

I couldn't help but feel jealous.
I sat down beside Clair who was staring at the TV, they were watching Black Panther.

After what seemed like forever. Vanessa and Alex came in to the living room holding hands. I couldn't help but notice Vanessa's lipstick was smudged a bit and Alex had a little red on his lips.
That should be me with smudges of red lipstick on my lips, I should be the one holding her hand. Moses you really blew it.

Alex sat down on a stool next to me. Vanessa stood in the middle of the living room and started to introduce me and Clair to everyone. (Deborah, Tyler, Joseph, Sophia, victor and Victoria)
Then she started talking about going on a summer holiday to Italy (Rome) and all of us being involved.

"So who wants to go" she asked

Everyone said yes and got very excited, but nobody noticed that I didn't answer except for Vanessa.

"BE QUIET" she screamed.

Everyone became very quiet.

"Moses, you haven't said anything" She said looking at me.

"Come on Moses, just because she is taken dosen't mean you shouldn't enjoy yourself" Clair whispered in my ear.

So she knew about Vanessa and Alex all this time.

"Yeah, sure", I said reluctantly

"Great, we leave in 3 days" Nessa said Happily.

"Awesome"
"I can't wait"
"I better go and start packing"
Everyone started talking at once.

We ate and drank, then by 7 everyone got up to go.

"Don't forget, everyone comes to my house at 7am, we have breakfast then start going" Vanessa said.

As soon I got in the car with Clair, I couldn't help but feel angry.

"So you knew about them" I said in annoyance.

"What" she said confused

"DID YOU KNOW ABOUT VANESSA AND ALEX", I said a little louder than I intended

I notice Clair's body became very tense next to mine.

"I...I...I didn't have the heart to tell you, I wanted you to find out by yourself" she said scared.

"Well are you Happy now, I almost told Vanessa I loved her" I said.

"What" she said surprised

"I almost told her how I felt" I said my voice shaking.

"Why did she say" Clair said suddenly interested in what I have to say.

" Well she was about to say something before Alex interrupted".

"Oh", she sighed

"That jerk he knew how I felt about Vanessa, but noooo he must have her" I said frustrated.

When we were kids Alex and Vanessa never got along, they always argued about one thing or another. When we grew up I told them to put their past behind them and become friends. When Vanessa traveled Alex told me that he was single and searching, I told him to choose any girl he liked, I didn't mean for him to choose my girl my Vanessa. And now I'm going on a trip and will have to tolerate seeing them together kissing, hugging, holding hands. Ugh why me?
