Back at Hogwarts, Headmaster's office, around the time the ritual was completed...

Dumbledore had just realized that he had not checked the monitoring and tracking charms on one particular student for a while; Harry Potter. Sure, he checked on other students too from time to time, but Dumbledore only occasionally checked on Harry, as he trusted his order members to make reports. Today was just one of those days that Dumbledore couldn't help feeling like something was...off, to say the least. So Dumbledore got up, and walked to the gates of Hogwarts, where he then proceeded to apparate away to number four, Privet Drive.

The first thing Dumbledore realized when he got there was that the blood wards surrounding number four seemed to be non existent. That set off alarm bells in Dumbledore's mind, as it could possibly mean that Harry was not at number four anymore. Having a sinking sensation in his heart, Dumbledore strode over to the door of number four, and rang the doorbell. The door opened, and a big, fat, pig like figure with squinting eyes emerged from inside the house.

"Who...YOU! You're the one that left that ungrateful freak here, and you're a freak yourself! What do you want now?!" Vernon all but shouted at Dumbledore, while the old man in question just stood there before asking if Harry was in there. "No, the freak isn't here anymore, he left a week ago, with a letter addressed to us Dursleys," Vernon didn't shout as he didn't want the neighbour's attention to be drawn, but fury could still be seen on his face. "Is it possible I come in and inspect the house for any clues?" Dumbledore asked, but while doing so, had gotten his wand out, and by the time he finished his sentence, his wand was pointed at Vernon Dursley. The aforementioned man was now quivering in fear, his skin as white as a sheet, as he fearfully agreed to what Dumbledore had asked him. As Dumbledore came in, Petunia and Dudley had just gotten down from upstairs, and also paled when they saw the wand. Vernon told them that Dumbledore was just going to do a quick sweep of the house to check for any signs for the 'freak'. Dumbledore asked Vernon where Harry's stuff was kept, and where his room was. Vernon told him that the 'ungrateful brat' had his stuff kept in the cupboard under the stairs, and that his room was the smallest room upstairs. Dumbledore first went to check the cupboard for anything Harry may have left behind, but it seemed like Harry had taken everything he owned. That was the same story upstairs. Dumbledore asked if he could see the letter. Petunia got up and fetched the letter from the study, and handed it to Dumbledore. The old man did a quick swipe of his wand at the letter, to check for Harry's magical aura. It was present on the paper, so it was authentic. Dumbledore did a quick read of the letter, and was somewhat worried still, though he still felt somewhat reassured.

He then read the part about the Weasleys and the Grangers going to HQ, so he got up, took the letter, said his goodbyes to the Dursleys and left the household, where he apparated to the Grangers. Hermione opened the door, and said a brief hello to Dumbledore. Dumbledore just gave her a wooden cube, and told her it was a portkey. He told her it was a portkey to order HQ, but she could only activate it if she had all her things packed, and if she had her parents touching her. Dumbledore told her the activation password was 'Phoenix'. He said goodbye to Hermione, and then apparated to the Burrow, where he gave the same set of instructions to the Weasley family, except that it would still activate even if Percy wasn't around. He then left for HQ, and then began sending patronuses to the order members, informing them of a meeting. About an half an hour later, and the Weasleys and Grangers had arrived. Dumbledore had shown the teenagers to their rooms. Another half an hour, and the meeting was ready to begin.

"Molly, would you be so kind, and fetch the kids down for this meeting? It concerns them as well," Dumbledore told the Weasley matriarch. The woman looked surprised for a second, but then she quickly went into the hallway and shouted out for the others to join them. Since the teenagers were always so curious about the meetings, they were all in the dining room in about 20 seconds flat. "Alright, thank you all for coming to this meeting; first of all, a warm welcome to Mr and Mrs Granger, who have been invited to this meeting," Dumbledore said, clapping. There was a brief clapping before it went silent again. "Now, you may be curious about what this meeting is about, yes?" Asked Dumbledore. There were nods from everyone present. "Now, when I say this, please, do not panic. It seems like Harry is has left Privet Drive." The whole table was silent before Molly started to ask Dumbledore about Harry. Dumbledore motioned for her to quiet down, and told Ron and Hermione to fetch the letters that Harry was supposed to send them. The two quickly obliged, and were back within a minute. Ron showed his mother the letter, and Molly looked somewhat reassured after that. "Where do you think he has gone to?" Minerva asked Dumbledore. "I do not know, Minerva. The best we can do is wait," Dumbledore replied.
