They didn't see each other for two weeks after that. She was different. A good different. He was different, too. A bad different. He broke up with Elena, one week prior to them seeing each other again. He was in between houses and felt alone. His family moved to Melbourne when he was sixteen and he left to go to college in Sydney. Lara's family moved to states when she was twelve, so for college she came back. He had no one to go to. She had no one to hold her back. "Darling, I know you are watching me, so do yourself a favor and come talk to me." She sat on a bench facing the penguins. They both coincidentally decided to go to the zoo that day.

"Hey." He sat next to her. His eyes focused on the sleeping penguin. She would glance at him, but never met his eyes. "Elena and I broke up."

"That's good. She was a depressing person." Lara spit out without hesitation. He chuckled under his breath and looked down at his hands. "What are you up to now?"

"Hopping from place to place, trying to find somewhere to live." She looked at him now with shock in her eyes. He looked at her too. She had her hair pulled onto her tan shoulder. She wore a strapless top and torn up skinny jeans. He had on a shirt that said 'YOU COMPLETE MEss'. His hair was in a quiff she hadn't seen before.

"You don't have a place to live?" He shook his head and she thought for a moment. "You could come live with me, darling. It would be fun, we'd have parties, watch movies, drink pink champagne all the time." She winked.

"Really?" He wanted to. She was a fun person, a person probably quite easy to live with. She nodded and smiled down at her hands. She wanted him to live with her too. "That'd be great, thank you."

"It'll be fun." They both wanted this. They both needed this. She wanted too change something about him, and he wanted to change something about her. "We'll stay up late, drink Starbucks, eat junk and just have fun."
