He arrived at her party one hour early. He was grown up to be punctual. Always. He helped her set up and get ready. "Would you be a darling and grab that lipstick off the counter?" She said. He picked up three different containers and none of them were lipstick containers. She laughed and pointed to a blue one. She sat on her kitchen counter and painted her nails. She was skilled at this, for she did it all the time.

Her first friend, Vivian arrived. The two girls looked quite similar. Both had long hair, curled in a precise manner, exotic skin tones and charcoal eyes. Luke was surprised to find out that they are not related in anyway. Calum, Vivian's boyfriend at the time came along with her. Lara's other friend, Blu, brought her boyfriend Michael. Then her best guy friend, Ashton brought his girlfriend, Sienna. Lara complained about hating couples and that they needed to stop bringing their pick of the week to her parties. Vivian soothed her and finally Luke introduced himself to the other guys. Luke got along great with Calum, him and Ashton were fine, just not great. He and Michael discovered they had a great hate for each other. Luke hung around Calum for most if the night until Lara declared it time for truth or dare. "New female guest first, Sienna. Truth or dare?"

"Dare." She smiled widely. Her cheeks appeared to hurt.

"Go outside on my balcony and poor beer on someone walking by." Lara got excited as she grabbed a beer. "Don't get caught, love." They all heard a shriek moments later and Sienna run inside. The turns quickly went by and finally it was Luke's turn to ask Lara.

"Tell me the truth and I'll show you how to dare." He smirked. She laughed and applauded him. "So, trouble, who in here haven't you kissed?"

"Really? What are you five?" She cackled. "Just you. But I really wouldn't mind." She threw her hands up in the air. "So what's this dare?"

"Change that." Her lips curved upwards like last night. She knee-walked over to him across her carpet. She took his cheeks in her hand and they exchanged a breath of alcohol before their lips met. They both said it went on for only a minute, but everyone else said it was at least two. She planted a light one on his jaw before sitting back in her spot. They said nothing the rest of the night, but kept exchanging glances. She raised her eyebrows as he licked his lips. She didn't know why, but he just wanted to taste her lip balm again.

"That was fun. See you next week, Lar." Blu winked and tugged on Michael to leave. Ashton left with Sienna and then Calum with Vivian. Luke stopped in the doorway and looked back at Lara cleaning up salsa from her nail painting counter.

"I'm having a party on Friday if you want to come." She looked up at his bright blue eyes.

"Is it going to be a boring wine party where you guys talk about books and whatever?" She asked teasingly. Little did he know, she read many books and enjoyed talking about them.

"No. An actual party." She nodded and he took that as a yes. He left her house in the same distress he was in last night. She wasn't in distress, for she was happy with the outcome of the night. Well actually, they both were.
