Obviously we all lack inspiration or get hit by writer's block now and again, but there is always a way to overcome it.
Preparation, for me, is always key. It took me a while to realise this (four years whoops) but I am the type of person to lack motivation so when I have a small plot to base my chapter off, writing always comes a lot easier.
I believe that writer's block is not a big as people make it out to be. Try not to use it as an excuse or let it stop you. Try and think deeper into what is really stopping you, is it a bad day? Friends or family problems? Some people do find it easy to crack out four, two thousand word chapters but for some people, they've got to jump a couple hurdles until they're satisfied with the finished product.
Inspiration is everywhere. Take a step back from tv, snapchat, instagram, whatever and just listen to a few of your favourite songs for inspiration. Take a walk if you can, take breath and look around. Try and notice things you haven't noticed before.
Listen to the sounds around you as well. They're unquie to you, and only you can describe them in the way you want them. How you want people to hear them.
You can also observe people more often - not in a creepy way - just pay attention to different peoples mannerisms and body language. Every person has their special quirks and special features, and you can show them how you want to.
So, if you're experiencing writer's block or having a lack of inspiration. Then don't stress it, just take a breath, think about what is really on your mind. Take a walk, listen to your favourite tunes and just appreciate life for a while.
