now everyone might not think it's important but trust me the name for your character is. there is a lot of name that's are common and a lot of names that you don't even see used very much. the list of the names you do see used would be
Jake, Myles, Lucy, Emily.
they are good names but they are way over used. when deciding a name, you should look behind the meanings and then look at your character. when you think of your name you think how well it fits you and how on earth your parents got it.
say if your character was greek, i would say go with a greek name and look behind the meanings. if you have a character that's a fighter or a character that's soft you would look for things related to those. there is millions of meanings behind names that you could look at and fit your character in.
example: my oc, who's name is elias.
i picked that name because like my oc, the name is a Greek name. my oc is a son of a greek god. i like sticking to my ocs background.i suggest looking behind the meanings / or going by where your oc is from or what their background is. whether it's Greek or Egyptian. they have a lot of names with meaning and the names for your oc's will go a long way in the end because it also makes them who they are and when people think of the name they will think of the oc. not only that it will fit the oc so much well and show that your character is from here or related to someone from the past.
