The movie was nice to see. It was nice to relax for a long time in (Home Town). To get away from all the busy streets and phone-obsessed civilians to talk and hang with other people, for once.

Since you were tired from all the past activities, you ended up sleeping through the end of the movie and all the way home. Lance carried you to your room when you all got home and put you to bed.

Rolling over in the bunk you were in, you got up and stretched. About to hit your head against the bunk above your head, you quickly lowered your head and breathed a sigh of relief. Swaying your legs against the side of the bed, you walked off and messed with a piece of your hair.

Yawning a little, you looked up at the top bunk only to see no Lance. Rubbing your eyes, you ignored the odd disappearance and walked towards the bathroom to comb your tangled mane. After a few minutes, you smiled at your appearance, satisfied with it.

Cracking the door open, you wandered down the hallway and paused when you noticed how silent it was. Raising an eyebrow, you walked into the living room to see everyone passed out on either the couch or floor. They seemed to be playing a board game and someone had brought you to bed while they were at it.

Looking at the time, your senses awakened as your eyes widened.

"GUYS!" You shrieked, "ITS THREE PM!"

Everyone jumped at your loud outburst before realizing that there was limited daylight left. Quickly getting up, everyone left one by one to get ready for the trip to the beach. You laughed when Lance, still in his sleepy state, smacked his lips in confusion.

"Huh...?"

"Babe," you snickered,"we need to get ready for the beach."

"What do you mean?" Lance yawned,"its morning time."

"Babe, it's three." Something struck within the brunette, as Lance snapped from the couch and sprinted towards your room. You blinked your eyes a couple times, before rolling them and following after him.

Ignoring all the other packing chaos going on in the other's rooms, you grabbed your beach gear that you had packed before you left on the plane and sat in bed. Snickering at your friend's panicked reactions.

Pausing in his riot of grabbing all his beach stuff, Lance's eyes glared at you in jealousy.

"How come you're already packed?" The boy whined.

Sheepishly smiling, you ruffled his hair, "because I always come prepared for a trip."

About an hour later, you all packed up in the two vehicles, before leaving. Once you all finally got to the beach, it was about five thirty, which meant that it would be sunset soon. Getting out of Allura's car, you slammed the door before running towards the bathroom to change.

Getting into a stall, you just slung your romper off revealing your neon blue swimsuit, which you had gotten last summer. Exiting the bathroom, your towel in your hand, you rolled your ears heard a few catcalls in the distance. Feeling someone's gaze on you, you ran towards the group towards Lance and the others.

Making sure to let the other guys there know that you were taken, you wrapped Lance in a tight hug and kissed his cheek. Immediately, you saw fewer men glancing your way. Smiling in satisfaction, you looked at Lance to see the poor boy's face pinker than Allura's bikini.

You laughed and not before long, Lance started as well.

"You all ready for some fun?" Shiro asked, slamming the trunk of his truck.

"YEAH!" Everyone cheered.

"Let's go then!" Shiro exclaimed, wrapping an arm around Adam's waist, before leading the way to the beach shore.

You started walking with them before freezing a little. Lance, Keith, Allura, and Pidge took notice of this.

"(Y/N)?" They all asked you in concern.

"L-lance, what beach is this?"

The said boy's blue orbs widened and he bit his lip.

"T-the same one where-"

"I almost died?" He gulped and nodded.

Allura gasped and put a hand over her mouth as Pidge and Keith both looked at you with a worried expression. It was so quiet that the only thing that could be heard was the conversation ahead mixed with the waves of the ocean crashing against the sand and rocks nearby.

Your grip on your towel tightened, but you just took a deep breath before continuing to walk. The others stood for a second before running up to you, making sure you were fine with swimming and that they didn't mean to pressure you if they did.

"Its fine, I'm older now anyways. That happened a long time ago, I was just a little shaken that's all." You tried to shrug it off.

Pidge and Allura didn't seem to buy it, but Keith understood and held them back. You just needed the space and yourself to try and get through this. Right now, you just needed their support, not their presence.

You smiled thankfully at him, before turning back towards Lance and dragged him towards the others, laughing. Unknown to you, Allura and Pidge looked at Keith before they themselves understood and looked down before following you and Lance.

You smiled at Lance while he gave you a guilty stare. Your face softened as you walked into the ocean more and grabbed his hands. He blinked his eyes, realizing the situation and looked into your eyes. Smiling more, you both walked into the ocean, now waist deep in, and looked back at the gang.

You could make out the figures of Romelle and Hunk handing out some food as you could see Keith gazing out at Lance and you. You waved cheerfully at his figure before turning back towards Lance and walking into the ocean, now shoulders deep.

"You okay, (Nickname)? We can get out if you wa-"

"Lance, if anything it seems like you're the one who's scared of water," you let out a small laugh.

He mumbled something under his breath and you looked at him in concern, "Lance...? What was that?"

"I-I," he let out a breath, "I said I'm afraid of love. I-I I'm afraid to say that I love you! That's why I flirted with all those girls! That's why I couldn't fall in love with them! Cause I've been in love with you! And I'm too afraid!" Hearing an ocean wave nearby you both turned and saw a huge wave coming towards the both of you.

You smiled and grabbed Lance's face, "I was afraid of something too. I was afraid of the water for, for so long. But I think," you glanced at his lips, "I think we're each other's cures to our phobias. Lance, I love you. I've always loved you, even with the incident. If anything, I need you like water."

With those words, Lance crashed his lips upon yours, just as the wave crashed upon the both of you. Once it passed, you and Lance parted and smiled at each other like a pair of two idiotic teenagers in love, and that's what you two were.

Two idiotic teenagers in love, both afraid of something. Love and water. Who knew that we were each other's cures to our phobias. After all, we're only human anyway.
