My Everything-Adopted by Ariana

Ariana's P.O.V

After I returned home from the orphanage, there was only one word on my mind right now...

Piper.

It was just something about her that makes me...happy. I feel like we have a mysterious connection when we speak. Two conversations with the girl and I felt like I was losing my mind.

Great.

I sighed loudly and collapsed into my couch. I cringed at the loud thud I created as it echoed through my large house. I had purchased it just a few days ago actually. One day, I hope Jai and I are able to live here together peacefully with our beautiful children. A smile popped up on my face at the thought of having a daughter one day . I'm sure she would be beautiful . She would probably get a mixture of Jai's brown hair and my loose curls that I use to rock and my brown eyes. She would take my elfin-sized body along with a happy face that I would be able to look at everyday.

Suddenly, a light bulb went out in my head and I gasped at how blind I could possibly be. My prediction of what Baby Grande would look like fits Piper, the girl who has taken over my mind for these past couple of days. She was the one.

I reached for the bear case that surrounded my IPhone like a little glove. I needed to call my Mom like now. She would tell me whether or not I was being crazy right now. I quickly unlocked my phone and searched for Mommy in my contacts . Yes, I call my mom,Mommy.....Problem...No? Okay.

After two rings, My mom picked up. I released my breath of relief as I greeted her . My mouth twitched at the amount of confusion in my voice.

"Is there something on your mind? Did you and Jai break up? I swear to G-"

"Mom, Don't worry...Jai and I are still together and we are fine. It's just..... I met this girl..", I said slowly . I know I can tell my Mom anything but, this was just so hard to tell her.

"Ariana..."

"Yes,Mommy?"

"Are you gay now ?"

I busted out laughing at my Mom's question as she stayed silent on the other end. I really should have finished my sentence before I told my Mom. After about three minutes of me laughing and two more minutes of both of us laughing, I finally cleared my throat to speak again.

"No. The girl I met is twelve.. That would be a little strange.. Anyways, I met her a few days ago at the Sam and Cat thing I was telling you about at the adoption center... We had a conversation there and I just really missed here after I left.. Then today, I saw her again while she was coming home from school and talked again but, I felt like we clicked. I was thinking about adopting her", I said in one big breath. I heard shuffling from the other end and Frankie in the background. I missed that boy .

"Wow. Well, you are my angel and I will full on support you on whatever decision you make. You are 21 and have developed into a sophisticated and mature young lady and I'm sure you will make the right call on what you want . Now, I have to go before my pot boils over . Bye,Hun "

"Tell Frankie I said bye!", I yelled before I pressed the end button.

I smiled at my Mother's wise words of advice. I was going to have to remember them so that I could use them on Piper someday. I was going to be a mother. I was going to have a daughter to call my own !

Wait a second...

I'm gonna have a daughter.

My smile dropped as I realized I have absolutely nothing ready to have a daughter. I was going to have another breathing human being in my house but, I don't even have a room for her! I didn't even tell Jai! I grabbed my phone and clicked on the unread message I received from him an hour ago. I must have gotten it when I was with Piper.

"Hey Ari...wassup?"

I ignored his question and told him to "meet me at my house in fifteen minutes". I devised plan in my head. I would tell Jai the good news and then, he could help me shop for her new room which, would now be one of the guest rooms.I looked down at my sweats and ran up to my closet. I pulled out a classic Ariana outfit; a plain black skirt that came just above my knees and, a white and black polka dot bustier top. I ran over to my mirror and just touched up my makeup a little. Jai wouldn't mind whether or not I had makeup on anyways. I combed my hair into a ponytail and did a quick smile and spin in the mirror. What? It's a girl thing.

  I heard a honk come from outside signalling Jai was here. I ran down my steps and out my front door to his car. I walked around to the passebger seat before he could exit and, i buckled my seatbelt. The smile that would make a girl melt appeared on his face as he ran some fingers through his beautiful brown hair.

"Hey babe"

"Hey...Jai I need to tell you some-". Before I could finish, he took my face into his hands and gently stroked my cheek before he leaned his head closer to me . I tilted my head to the side as our lips touched and moved simultaneously like a dance group. I broke the kiss with a dorky giggle and before my brain could process what I was saying, I spoke.

"Jai, I am adopting a girl tomorrow"

  I searched Jai's face for a reaction. At first, he ruffled his eyebrows at my words. I would too at the way I had just blurted it out like it was nothing. I then watched as a bigger smile stuck to his face like a fat kid in a bakery.

  "I have to share this now?" Jai asked as he pointed to my chest,referring to my heart. I laughed at his fake pout.

"Yes, so deal with it...Now, we need to go to Ikea and get some things for her room."

"Well,it is going to cost you a kiss and a date "

  I kissed Jai on the cheek as I smiled.Jai was such a doofus sometimes.

   The car ride to Ikea was pretty silent but, it was the goof type of silence. I was too busy on mt phone looking at room designs for tweens while Jai kept his eyes on the road. We arrived in about fifteen minutes. Once we found a park and stepped out the car, my hands intertwined with his and we waltzed to the entrance.

   The smell of fresh wood and new furniture hit me as I walked inside .

"Hi, welcome to Ikea!" , an employee said as we walked inside. The girl who looked in her twenties nearly fainted as she saw it was Jai and I. I smiled and gave her a small wave before grabbing a cart and heading into the bed aisle.

  There were so many different types of styles for something as simple as a bed! I looked around and selected a light brown queen size bed and a Hello Kitty bed set. You can never go wrong with Hello Kitty!

  "Jai, remember to bring the cart with you", I yelled as I watched him take a picture with a teenage girls. I smiled as I walked into the paint aisle. I easily decided to get perriwinkle blue since that id my favorite color! I hoped she liked it. I carried the two buckets of paint as I went on a journey to find some wall decor.

"WOOHOO"

   My head whipped to the side as I saw Jai speeding towards me while riding a shopping cart.

Typical Jai.

I stopped the cart with my hands and inserted the many items I picked up while Jai was gone, I got Piper her name is sparkly black letters, some inspirational and cliché quote stickers for her wall and other small items like a piggy bank. Jai and I headed down to the register and stood on the shortest line.

"So your coming to my house early tomorrow to paint the guess room over, right?" , I asked with a big smile on my face. He nodded and I wrapped my arms around him. I loved how I could always count on him and I hope Piper can as well.
