Since he has ADHD he most likely takes Adderall.
He used to live on his own but moved back in with his Abuela(because she 'needed help' but she just said that so he'd move in) because he crashed from not taking Adderall and had a really bad depressive state where he wouldn't even leave the house and bad things almost happened—
So Abuela is there to make sure he takes his Adderall because she's very worried for him and doesn't want that happening again.
Sorry I feel like this is super lame but I was just researching a lot today about Adderall and ADHD?
