Everyone loves the beach. Everybody. They talk about how nice it would be living here. And they are completely right, it's amazing. Especially cuz I work on the boardwalk. Getting to look at the sea all day long. Just kidding. That makes me sound like a girl. The best part is the babes. Since I work at a shop on the board walk they are everywhere.

Our shop sells the things people forget or need more of like sunscreen, bug spray, bikinis, towels, sunglasses and well you know touristy stuff.

It was a Friday, and slow for a Friday. I mean slow. Only like five families had shown up and bought stuff.

"Hey Jace? What time is it?" I asked because I was bored out of my mind with this job.

"Only 1:30," Jace groaned in response. He was my best friend so it was nice working with him. But on a day like this. I didn't want to work at all. And our shift ends... In four hours. Great.

Then she came in with some other people. Into the shop. She was gorgeous. Not like the BBs either. Beach babes. (Jace and I were always staring at them) She was better. Way better. Long dark brown hair. Sea blue eyes. Freckles. Man I love girls that don't hide their freckles. She wasn't one of those itty bitty tiny girls either. She had meat on her. She was beautiful.

"Dibs," I whispered to Jace who was dozing off.

"Huh, what?" Then he saw her too. "Dang it!!"

"Umm excuse me?" I turned only to lock eyes with her. "Hi can you show me where the swimsuits are?"

Jace had to butt in. "Yea they are in isle one," he said with a smirk trying to flirt with her.

She rolled her eyes and laughed. "I didn't say tell me I said show me. And anyway I was asking your friend," then she turned and smiled at me. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Jace glare at her.

"Sure, yea! Umm they are right this way," I quick jumped the counter and walked her over to the swimsuits.

"Wow these are super cute!" All of her and her friends picked one. "Hey Lexi? Can you take this up for me?" She asked the girl named Lexi and handed her a twenty.

"Sure! I let you keep looking," she said with a wink. The girl only laughed.

"Hey so umm what's your name? And uhh how long are you staying?" I asked her. Man I sounded like a little kid!!

She smiled though and didn't laugh and me. "I'm Jessie and I'm staying for the summer with my friends."

"Cool. Umm so maybe we could hang out after my shift?" I shifted my weight from one foot to the other. Oh crap I'm coming on too strong.

When she smiles like she means it her entire face lights up. "Yea that'd be great! Here I'll give you my number and address," She dug though her purse until she found a pen. "I um don't have any paper? Can I write it on your hand?" I nodded in agreement. All I wanted was this girls number. "So call me and we can figure out what to do sounds cool?"

"Yea," I said with a smile "That sounds really cool." I turned to go back to the counter.

"Crap wait! I don't think you told me your name?" She smirked.

Crap. Smooth dude.

"My name is Chris." I said

"Well Chris," she leaned forward and kissed my cheek "It has been awesome meeting you but I better go. See ya tonight!"

She walked into the shop. She also walked into my life. The only difference was is that I hoped she wouldn't ever walk out.
