Standing in a row, they used their left hand to hold their own necklace and their right showing the 'J' symbol. Soon, they were in their superhero costume. It was a blue one-piece costume with a white 'J' in the middle. It also had a red belt and a dark blue cape. Next, they held hands and James teleported with them to the backyard.
"Put me on call," High King Jay said. The family hid behind the trees, trying their best to hear if there was anyone there. True enough, they saw thick, black smoke rising up from the woods.
"It wasn't this thick before," Jack commented.
"Shh!!" Jen quietened him down, putting her index finger on her lips. The chanting began.
"Agsa Ville si zul fo vi shinne gi si ahh..." they chanted.
"It's the second day! They are reciting the death chant! Quick! Cover your ears! For you shall be weakened by it!" ordered High King Jay. They cupped their ears immediately. The chants grew louder and louder, filling the forest.
I'm sure that if there was glass there, it would break immediately.
The family stepped an inch or two forward to peek at Ville's men.
The fire became bigger and the chants quietened down. Suddenly, the fire formed a face as it stopped dancing.
"It's Ville," Jane whispered into the necklace. She used to work with him, before Ville betrayed Jay. Everyone gasped. Ville's men knelt before him.
"We shall land here?" Ville questioned sternly.
"Yes, your majesty," they chorused as they stood.
"You idiots! We are at the side of Batonsville! We want the middle!"
"But, Your Majesty, we-"
"Don't 'but' me!" Ville rebuked as he lifted the leader up.
"This is where the Jayers live. We are behind their house," the lesser servant spoke up. Ville dropped the leader.
"Good job. You are now the new leader." Ville was never fair.
"Nooo... I don't want to-" before they knew it, Ville disappeared and the fire was back to normal.
"You have your leadership back," the 'lesser' being insisted.
"We have enough information about them. Let's go," their father told them. As they padded back to their house, Jack accidentally stepped on a twig. The forest had been in dead silence that everybody could hear the snap.
"Intruders!" the leader cried.
"Well, we are not really intruding. This is our house. You are intruding is!" James joked.
"Attack!" Ville's men shouted. They started to do some gestures and a fireball was made in their hands.
"Defence!" Jen told James. He let his right knee on the ground and touched the grass as soon as the Jayers huddled together. He then activated a power shield. Another of his powers. The fireball came towards them but it 'shattered' as soon as it touched the shield. James deactivated the shield and prepared to fight.
"Permission to fight, Your Majesty?" Johnny requested.
"Permitted to Attack," the High King declared.
The fight began in no time. Jack turned invisible and lasered one of them. The pair of lasers went towards him but was blocked by his gestures. Jen lifted him up and froze him to death.
Their leader rushed up to unfreeze him with the fire still burning, but Jen distinguished it just in time. Nine more to go.
James teleported around, giving punches to another one of them. It was a female. As James punched her the fifth time, her cheek bones cracked, bursting the fine blood vessels in her mouth. Blood then oozed out of her mouth as she coughed them out. In a minute or two, she bled to death.
Jane,on the other hand, had a ring which instantly kills. She just hand to touch them with the ring and they would die.
Johnny moved some trees to trap one of Ville's men. He then made the dirt beneath him to rise and bury him alive. The leader was left.
Jen lifted him up and Jack lasered him a few times and trees surrounded him. As their Mother could see through things, she realised something odd.
"Wait, those moves he's doing inside... I've seen them before," she gasped. "James! Shield!" He did as he was told quickly and the strongest wind ever suddenly blew.
The wind was thrashing against the trees, causing the branches to whip and sway about. Countless of leaves were shed and came twirling and swirling in mid-air. Trees were bent double and a few of them had its roots uprooted. It came crashing down, making a loud thud.
The wind was so strong, even James' shield could not resist it. Everyone went flying up into the air, knocking against trees. The leader did another gesture and a portal appeared. He went into it and disappeared.
"He has escaped. Now we know what to expect from Ville, but this is just the beginning. Be prepared," High King Jay said. Johnny arranged the trees like how it was before and buried all the dead bodies.
"Your Majesty, will Ville's soldiers still land here?" Jack queried.
"Yes, and I have to say, do not attack the leader when he comes back. If the chants fail, the soldiers may be less but they will be scattered around Earth, making it harder for you." They ended the call with him and they were back to their original clothes. As they entered the house, everything was placed back. Everyone went to their rooms upstairs except for the parents. Only a small part of their fear was released when they made a sigh.

Suddenly, a loud shrill scream pierced the air.

Persevere. Things may not turn out as they are. Be prepared.
