"Lyla, why is there blood on your towel?"
I looked up to see my Momma holding the towel Jody wiped her face with.
"Umm.. I fell down and got a wound. It hurt really badly and it started bleeding," I lied.
"Can I see?" she asked.
I looked away. "It's, uh.. It's cured. I fell down a long time ago," I lied, again.
"If your towel is dirty, bring it to me immediately, okay?" she smiled. "Don't keep it for a long time and make me worry."
"Okay, Momma," I smiled back. She went to the laundry room to wash my towel.
I went to my room to get my books for homework.
When I was inside, the door was suddenly shut closed.
I got goosebumps there for a second. When I walked towards it, I heard a click. The door was locked.
"Jody!" I screamed. "Open this door!"
I banged on the door really loudly. "Momma, help!"
I tried to unlock it, but the lock didn't move. Not even a little bit.
"Momma!"
I leaned against the door, tired. I didn't want to stay in this room. I was scared I was going to be locked up forever.
"Jody!" I screamed in frustration.
That was the last thing I remember before everything went black.
