(Your Mom's POV)

"Mom, I turn 17 in 2 months and I think I know what I want for my birthday" my daughter said.

"Mhm and what may that be." I asked while drying off the dishes I just washed.

"Welllll, I wanted to known if I could drop out of school and maybe move out of the country on my own? And before you say anything, I know it's a long shot but I'm turning 17. I don't need to finish off school since im with the band and it's already really successful and I will go to college to be a director in a few years when I'm ready. Plus, you already let me travel the country to go on your with the band for 6 months." she said talking a mile a minute.

"Are you out of your mind y/n? There is no way in the world I would ever let you drop out of school. I don't care if your band is successful, you still need to learn. So no. Not happening. You can move out after college if you want to leave us so bad." I answered while putting the dishes away and walking out side to the back porch.

I say down on the rocking chair and y/n followed. "Mom, please. I'll come and visit you guys. If you really want I can do online classes until I graduate which is only a year and a half. Its not that I want to leave you guys I just want to start fresh and find myself. I can't do that around people who know me and know who I am."

"No y/n. Even if you go out of the country people are going to know who you are. You are famous now. Where would you want to move anyway? How are you going to have the money to get there, buy a place for yourself and take care of yourself?" I asked trying to convince her it's not a good idea.

"Well, I never planned on telling you this but I have 350 grand in a bank account from touring and other things I don't have time to explain right now and which is one reason why I need to start fresh and leave everything behind." she said leaning over the rail looking off into the distance.

"What in the world could be so bad that you need to leave your family and love out of the country. And how the hell did you get 350 grand? I mean I bet you prolly only made about 50 thousand touring. Where did the other 300 grand come from y/n? This is serious." I asked getting a litter nervous about what my daughter was getting herself into.

"Nothing mom. I shouldn't of said anything. Forget I said anything. I need to go study for mid terms soon." she said before walking off.

"Y/n l/n, get back here now! Explain to me how you got all this money. Did you get yourself into any trouble? Honey, please tell me." I said now following her up the stairs.

"Why do you care mom? You didn't even notice I had it til I told you. Why do you want to know so bad? Are you going to take it from me?" y/n said, raising her voice.

"Because I'm your mother and you listen to me. I call the shots around here and you don't back talk your mother. Now tell me where the fuck you got all this money from or you won't be having a birthday and you'll be grounded til college." I yelled back. "300 thousand dollars is a lot of money and if you get caught with that at such a young age y/n, you could get in big trouble. I don't even know how you even got all that money. This isn't something to play around with."

"Just STOP!" she said and slammed her bedroom door.

I didn't understand how she got all that money at such a young age. I didn't want to think about her selling drugs but that's the only thing I could think of at the moment. I wasn't going to take any of it from her, but I need to know how she got that.
