It was happening again. Geoff and I were yelling at each other for the 5th time this week.

He had come home at ungodly hours again and I was getting fed up with it. Mostly because he stunk of alcohol when he got home.

"Will you get off my back for two minutes? Jesus, it's like I can't do anything with you here!" He yelled, raising his arms dramatically.

"Maybe I would if you would come home at a decent hour! And didn't smell like alcohol!" I screamed, tears starting to form in my eyes.

"I can do what I want, I'm not a child!" He said, pacing around.

"Of course you aren't, a child would never come home at 4am shitfaced and make the house a mess, now would they?!" I yelled.

"God, you're so damn pestering! So what? I go have some drinks with my fucking friends! Big deal," he said.

"It is when I don't know where the hell you are or what you're doing. It is when I'm losing my sleep waiting for you to come home all night. It's not you who stays up, worried off your ass, wondering the worst things ever. No, you decide to stay out and get drunk rather than be here." I said, almost crying.

"God, here we go with this sob story. I don't need this, everything was better in my life before you showed up." He said, running his hands through his hair.

I sniffed and walked to our room, grabbing a bag and putting some clothes in it.  I grabbed my phone and put my bathroom necessities into the bag and slammed the door.

Geoff was still in the living room, sitting with his face in his hands.

"If you want to stay put getting drunk off of your ass, who am is to stop you. Have fun." I said before walking out and slamming the door. I got into my car and set my bag in the back seat before beginning the drive to my friends house.

How fucking dare he, I was in love with him and all he does is get drunk and tell me I made everything worse.

I pulled up into my friends driveway, knocking on her door while the tears started forming. She opened the door and was about to ask me what I'm doing here, but she noticed the tears and brought me into a hug while I broke down.
