Louis's POV:
We sat on the couch in silence for a few minutes, the tv was useless background noise as harry and I were no longer watching it.
He had been staring at the wall for some time now, the blank, pale, white wall. He'd look up at the ceiling and mumble time to time but other then that his attention was on the wall.
His eyes would dance back and forth as he analyzed the wall like he's never seen it before a day in his life. He was still snuggled up to me, which made me happy. He hasn't pulled away from my touch yet.
He blinked slowly as he brought a hand up to his ear and tapped it lightly, gripping onto the front of my shirt as he tugged gently.
" sing ". He mumbled, humming out his own toon as he placed his head on my shoulder.
" you want me to sing, darling? ". I questioned, just to make sure I understood him correctly.
He didn't answer back, he just growled in annoyance as he tugged on my shirt.
" alright, I'll sing love bug if that's what you want ". I smiled at the fact Harry wanted me to sing.
I haven't sang to him in a while, I use to before we became a couple and I was new to the whole autism thing. It use to calm Harry down at night so he could go to sleep, I'd sing to him every morning so he'd wake up peacefully. Unlike his mom who would abruptly shake him awake and upset him.
" what shall I sing to my curly headed boy today? ". I asked, planting a kiss on the top of his head as he giggled.
" sing ". He repeated, not taking his eyes away from the wall.
" hmm, I think I have just the song...". It took me a minute to remember the lyrics. I had wrote Harry a song when we were younger to try and win him over. Little did I know that I was already the grand champion.
" you're gonna have to forgive me, love. I might be a bit rusty but I'll give it a go ". I cleared my throat as I tried to remember the melody. Turning the tv off as well.
" your hand fits in mine like it was made just for me, but bare this in mind it was meant to be "
I heard Harry's breath hitch as he turned around so fast in his seat to look at me, making the whole couch move. His eyes were wide as he stared at me for a good couple of seconds which made me chuckle. He whined and grabbed my shirt again, this time giggling a bit as his lips parted into a smile.
" sing ". He hummed, slipping two fingers into his mouth.
" now I'm joining up the dots with the freckles on your cheek and it all makes sense to me "
I watched as Harry slowly raised from his seat and slipped onto my lap, facing me as he placed both hands on my stomach to keep himself steady. Each of his legs on either side of my lap straddling me, his facial expression looking fascinated for a few seconds.
" I know you never loved the crinkles by your eyes when you smiled, you never loved your stomach or your thighs. The dimples in your back at the bottom of your spine but I'll love them endlessly ".
Harry was emotionless as he played with the collar of my shirt. His eyes would flicker up to mine and he'd bite his lip and look away again.
" I won't let these little things slip....". I had to hum some of the chorus because I had forgotten. I feel bad but it's been a while. Maybe I can sing it fully to him when I find the piece of crumbled up paper I wrote it down on.
