Two years ago.

Beautiful tones of classical music blared in Jungkook's ears causing him to wake up from his slumber. He came to his door, not caring about his shirtless form, to find the carton of milk that was a daily service and his friend, Meow by the door. He opened the carton and began drinking the milk while sharing it with his little animal friend who was now in his hand, licking the milk from the carton. He was exactly concerned about the cat and him drinking from the same opening, let alone boiling the milk.

The music -- no, it was noise for him -- came from the house upstairs of his apartment.

___

Your residence was right above Jungkook's. Today was a very important day for you. The family of your potential husband was visiting your house. Therefore, the classical music of your father's taste. You wanted this alliance to be a success. Or should we say, your family wanted you to get married. More precisely, your sister, Eunsung.

Eunsung was two years younger to you. As delightful as she was, nowadays she was just pestering you to get married. Why, you ask? Because your father deemed for it to be appropriate if the elder daughter was married before the younger and Eunsung already found the man she wanted. The couple were so in love that they wanted to be married before he left to another country in a few months.

"Eunha, you're still not ready?", your mother said, catching you in surprise as you arranged the curtains for it to look eye pleasing. You loved these simpler things in life.

"Going now", you said as you smiled. You wanted to look good today, so you left the task of dressing you up to Eunsung, who you saw as the more trend following among the two of you. Or should we say, the only?

The boy and his family lived in the better and more posh part of Seoul. They had a business that was doing very well in the last fifteen years. Their family seemed very different than yours any day. They were broad minded and your father did not even allow you stay out after 6 in the evening, unless it was work related.

Throughout your childhood, you were their better daughter, the obedient one. You always got better grades, best ones actually. Unlike Eunsung, you were never into partying or going out with friends as such. Isolated virgin was what you were. Basically, you were like the nerdy girl in the books who just loved books. This love for book lead to a job that had you constantly be around books. A job in the biggest library of the city.

"What?", you heard your father scream on his phone.

You came running out of your room, dressed, to see what was happening.

"The family cancelled their visit. They had a list of girls and Eunha did not appeal to them", he said with furious undertone. "I don't know what people look for these days. Our daughter has all the values and morals, but looks is all they care about.", there was a disgust in his voice.

Did we establish that Eunsung was the prettier one and better dressed? Well, now we did. Curly hair, glasses and plain black eyes. You both had that in common. You looked like that too but Eunsung, she did things to herself. Her hair straightened, glasses replaced with contact lenses of an intriguing color of honey and darker brown.

"Cancel?", the rest of you said and mumbled, almost in unison.

Disappoint hit Eunsung like a tsunami more than it did you.

"Why can't you just find a guy, Eunha?", Eunsung yelled at you, not caring about the pain already caused in your heart because of the rejection.

"What do I do? It is not like I do not have crushes, okay? But if the other person does not reciprocate, what can I do about it?", you yelled back, holding back the tears.
