(Note: There may be a repeat in a few words, meaning I havent edited this at all)

It was hours. I curled up into a ball, feeling crushed inside the small trunk.

I kicked, shuffled my body around, searching for a small hole in which could lead me to break free. And as always,

Nothing.

The muffled sound of music could be heard from inside of the car. I could hear the man humming loudly to the rhythm.

And now the man had a name; Psycho.

It's a funny name of course, but at this point, it doesn't matter. What really matters is getting out of here.

I patted my hands back and forth, trying to feel anything that I could get ahold of...

Immediately I felt cold metal press against my palm. My hands were slippery from the sweat- so the cold felt nice. I picked up the metal, but I still wasn't able to identify what it was. Why hadn't I found it before?

A little bit of light coming from outside lit up just enough for me to see from a certain angle. A crowbar.

Why would he leave this in here?

"Yes, of course I got the girl. What else?" Psycho interrupted. I couldn't hear everything, only murmurs.

After a while, I continued only hearing murmurs. Finally I managed to make out what he was saying. I gripped the crowbar tightly; my knuckles turning white.

"The Lansing's don't even know she's gone!" He laughed.

My parents don't even know I'm miss- Oh my God, what is going on?

"I'm gonna call you later, Jack. Almost home."

Almost home?

I started shaking again; the crowbar coming loose from my hand.

"A crowbar... what do you do with a crowbar?" I told myself.

After that, it soon came to me that I'd have to fight my way out.

***

The car swerved quickly, causing me to slide towards the other side of the compact space.

I waited patiently for whatever plan I had made up.

The car finally settled down, the sound of the engine quickly dying.

Where was I? It couldn't of been a long drive! No, it must of been...

I set the crowbar into my two, terribly shaking hands. Instantly, I want to cry again. Instantly, I want to scream.

Instantly, I want my parents here.

I roll onto my back, propping myself up just enough to move. Fighting would be the hard part...

Running away would be the hardest of all.

I heard a car door slam shut. Footsteps came closer as I shifted into a ready position. It was only seconds after a click could be heard, and then the trunk swung open.

"Caden-"

I swung the crow bar, aiming for whatever I could see. The man grunted, moving backwards. I swung my legs over, dangling for only a split second while he cussed in irritation. I began to run.

I'm almost gone, I thought, my bare feet on the grass. But I spoke to soon.

To my right was a small, modern home, the porch only a couple feet from where Psycho had been.

Let me make that clear: HAD been.

I turned around, facing the direction I came in. Nobody was there.

Maybe he gave up? I looked around, eyeing each direction carefully. Two small houses, just like the one behind me stood across the gravel street. The rest of the area was covered in thick forest.

"I know you're here," I gulped. I looked around again, trying to see where he went.

A snap of a twig brought my attention to the woods.

Something grabbed my neck from behind, pushing me towards the ground. I looked up, choking.

"Sweet little Caden, thinking she'd just get away like that?" Psycho whispered.

It became blurry after that. I could feel my weight being dragged across the grass. Then, I could feel Psycho touching me, carrying me bridal style onto the porch. He opened the door, then set me onto a couch. It all seemed black and white.

I watched as Psycho sat down next to me, staring. I turned my head to the side, everything still becoming blurry. My head spun as Psycho spoke. My eyes slowly slid shut as he lifted up his mask.
