KARA POV

Kara packed the last things into her bag.Her mother,Jocelyn walked in and asked,"Are you ready?"

"As ready as I'll ever be"Kara replied with a smile as she closed her bag.

She walked out of her room and Jocelyn followed.Kara jogged down the stairs and walked into the kitchen where her father Jack stood wearing an apron in front of the stove making breakfast.

"Good morning Kara."Jack said with a smile.

"Morning dad."

"Her father asked,"Are you ready?"

"Why is everyone asking me that?I'm fine."Kara replied as she sat down.

"So,you're fine?I mean,this is a new place and school so I'd understand if you were nervous."her dad said.

"I'm fine.In fact.I am great."she said as she stood up.

"I am so ready for this.I'll probably even get myself a boyfriend."

"Are you insane?!"her father exclaimed.

"What?Its only normal that a teenager my age would want to date and fall in love."

"Fall in love?I doubt it.The closest you came to love was Liam.And you haven't seen him in years.I wonder how he's doing."Jocelyn wondered.

"Mom!Liam was just a fase.Okay?I didn't know what love was at that time."

"So when you said you would marry him one day,you were just saying it to be nice?"her dad asked.She looked at him.

flashback

Little Kara and Liam were running around in the park.

"Catch me if you can!"Liam yelled.

"I...I...can't anymore Liam!"Kara said as she stopped to take a breath.

Liam turned around and ran back to her.

"Are you okay?"he asked.

"I'm fine.I just needed to take a little breather."she replied.

"Oh,okay.But you didn't catch me so according to the rules we created,you now owe me something.A favour."he said.

"Fine.What do you want?"she asked.

"I want you to marry me."

"Huh?"she said looking confused.

"But we can't get married.We're too young."

"I know.I don't mean now.I mean later.When we're old enough."he replied.

"Why do you want to marry me?I'm not that popular at kindergarten.Why not ask someone like Jane to marry you?"she asked.

"I don't love her,plus I'm not that into popular girls.You're my best friend.And I love you."

"You...you what?"she asked looking shocked.

"I love you.Do you love me Kara?"he asked tilting his head to the side.

"Y..ye..."she stuttered.

"Do you?"

"Yes!I do love you!"she screamed out loud.

He giggled,"You didn't need to yell it out.But I'm kind of happy you did."

"Why?"she asked looking embarrassed.

"Because now everyone who heard you will know you're mine.Now and forever.So,now will you marry me Kara?"

"I would love to."she replied blushing.

Just then she felt something soft on her lips.She opened her eyes and saw that he was kissing her.It wan't a passionate kiss.It was more like a peck.But it felt full of love.Her face turned red as soon as he pulled away.She soon smiled out of happiness.

"I love you"

"I love you too."she replied

END OF FLASHBACK

Kara still stared at her mother before she snapped back to reality.

"No!We were just kids!It didn't really mean anything!Plus,he moved not so long later and you're right mom.We haven't seen each other in 10 years.And if I did have to see him again,he'd probably laugh at the fact that we still talk about that.He didn't even mean it when he said he truly loved me.Back then,we knew nothing about love."

"Are you sure he didn't mean it?"

"Yes.There's no way he meant it."

Hi.This is Midnight045.This is kinda my first book/story that I'm writing so do not judge if its not really any good.I joined wattpad only at the beginning of this year and have only been reading so far.I kinda just got an idea for a story and thought,why not?Should be fun.I know that this will not be to everyone's liking,but things are going to get interesting from here on.
