CHAPTER 36:MIDNIGHT

KARA'S POV

I was lying awake in my bed staring at the ceiling. I couldn't fall asleep both matter how hard I tried. I turned to look at the clock.

It was midnight.

I sighed, "Maybe if I get some water, I'll be able to sleep."

I got out of bed and got some water from the kitchen.

I drank it all at once. When I was done I walked back to the stairs, bit stopped when I heard a knock on the door.

"Who could it be?" I asked myself walking to the door and opening it revealing a very drunk Jace.

"Jace." I said startled.

"What are you doing here-" I was cut off by him smashing his lips onto mine roughly.

I was shocked and did not respond. He noticed this and then grabbed onto my hips and hoisting my body up causing me to wrap my legs around his waist so that I wouldn't fall. He smirked into the kiss and bit my bottom lip asking for an entrance. I didn't give him one and he pushed his tongue against my lips roughly and managed to get it into my mouth.

I started hitting him on the chest trying to get him to stop, but he would not. I then used all my strength to push him away. I managed to push him to the back causing myself to fall onto the hard ground. I groaned from the impact.

"What? You don't want it?" he asked angrily.

Yeah. He was mad that I rejected him.

"Jace-" I gasped when he lifted me up and put me over his shoulder and started walking to my room.

"No." I said hitting him on the back and moving my legs all in the air hoping to hit him in the face so that he would stop. He just ended up hitting my butt hard causing me to yelp. Once we got to my room, he threw me onto the bed and immediately attached our lips together.

I stopped resisting him to think a bit as he kissed me passionately.

This was everything I wanted. To kiss him, for him to touch me and to be with him. But that's what I wanted.
I don't want that anymore.

He started unbuttoning my pajama shirt, and that's when I grabbed his wrist stopping him. Things were going too far now.

He looked at me confused as to why I stopped him.

"Please. Jace stop." I said my eyes tearing up.

I saw the shock in his eyes when he realised that I was on the verge of crying. His shocked expression soon turned into a worried look. He had realised there and then that I didn't want it and that he was forcing me against my will.

His face became sad and released his body into mine. He now lied on top of my body and buried his head in the crook of my neck. I could feel a liquid wet my neck.

He was crying?

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry." he mumbled into my neck.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to. Please. Please forgive me." he pleaded.

"Jace. It's okay. It's okay." I said moving my hand through his hair.

"Can we just lay here? I really need this right now. Please." he said softly.

"Sure." I answered softly.

He wrapped his arms around me and buried his fade deeper into my neck. I wrapped my arms around his neck and closed my eyes.

And to my surprise I actually fell asleep in that position when I was struggling for over an hour before.

~the next morning ~

Jace slowly opened his eyes and felt a sudden pain in his head. He groaned from the pain. And the sun didn't make it any better for him.

He looked beside him and saw Kara lying next to him, still soundly asleep. He tightened his arm around her and using the other arm to run his hands through her hair.

'She looks so peaceful right now' he thought to himself.

"I love you."

A/N:Hi guys. I hope you liked this chapter and that it wasn't very disappointing. So, I've pointed out two important things in this chapter considering Kara and Jace's feelings for one another. They both loved each other at first, but Kara has moved on. But now Jace is still in love with her which he said while she was asleep. I hope you guys got that from the chapter.
