Many minutes later of building up the courage to talk to Peter, Davina searched everywhere for him only to be told by Ned that he had to leave early. Many thoughts ran through her head, like did he really have to leave or was it something spiderman related?

The next day at school, Davina sat in the library since it was her free period. Flipping through another page of 'To all the boys I've ever loved before' by Jenny Han, she thought about Peter. She wasn't going to deny that he was cute and also super nice, but something in her felt that he didn't feel attracted to her.

The blonde sighed, closing the book and sitting up straight in her chair. "Just talk to Peter, ask him..." She spoke to herself and let her mind wander. "Wait, what am i even going to ask him?"

She felt some students stare at her from their seats and clicked her tounge. "Trust me, you've seen crazier things than this, this is New York for crying out loud." She collected her things and got up, leaving the library to go to Peter's class which she knew because Juniper had asked Ned for Peter's schedule to give to Davina.

Once she found Peter and Ned's class, she entered. The teacher really wasn't paying attention so she walked up to where Ned and Peter were. "Guessing you didn't like the party or did Tony needed saving?" She asked peter.

"Mr. Stark doesnt need saving, he's Iron Man. More like he saved me." Peter mumbled the last part. "Something came up." He said, his eyes looking down at the weapon he had found last night while fighting.

"What is that?" Davina looked at the object and frowned.

"I don't know some guy tried to vaporize me with it." Peter responded.

"Seriously?" Ned asked shocked.

"Yeah."

"Awesome," Ned said. Peter and Davina both giving him a look that read 'what the heck?'. "I mean not awesome. Totally uncool of that guy. So scary."

"Well look. I think it's a power source." Peter grunted as he tried to take the pieces of metal apart.

"Yeah, but it's connected to all these microprocessors, that's an inductive charging plate. That's what i use to charge my toothbrush." Ned explained.

"Whoever is making these weapons is obviously combining alien tech with ours." Peter said looking at Ned and Davina.

"That is literally the coolest sentence anyone has ever said. I just want to thank you for letting me be apart of your journey into this ama-" Ned got cut off by Davina grabbing a hammer and smashing it on the object making the purple object bounce off.

"There. That was easy." Davina handed the hammer to Peter who set it on the table.

Both Peter and Ned turned to see the teacher in case he was wondering what they were doing. "Keep your fingers clear of the blades." The teacher said not looking up.

"Really? You had to do that?" Peter asked Davina.

"You looked like you were struggling and to be honest it was kinda fun seeing you struggle but i was being nice at the moment." Davina explained with a straight face.

Peter let out a sigh and leaned on the table. "Gotta figure out what this thing is and who makes it."

"We'll go to the lab after class and run some tests."

Then both Ned and Peter did their usual handshake which brought a smile to Davina's face.

"You coming?" Peter asked Davina.

"Do you want me to?" She turned to peter. "I mean if you guys want me there, I'll totally go, but I'll have to call my brother to ask him if I could stay."

"So it's settled. Lab. After school." Ned nodded.

"First, I say we put the glowy thing in the mass spectrometer." Ned said as the three of them walked down the hall.

"First, we gotta come up with a better name than glowy thing." Peter said.

"What if it's a bomb? It looks like a tiny bomb you know?" Davina shrugged her shoulders at the though of the glowy thing being a tiny bomb.

Suddenly peter stopped walking. "Crap!" He said before grabbing Davina's hand and pulled her into another hallway.

"What are you doing?!" She whispered to him.

"C'mon, c'mon c'mon." Peter whispered to Ned, who was still standing in the hallway not knowing what to do. Ned went towards Peter and hid.

"High school's creep me out. They have this funny smell, you know what I mean?" The three of them heard a man say.

"That's one of the guys that tried to kill me." Peter whispered.

"What?"

"Yeah."

"Hold up! There's more than one?!" Davina said raising her voice but Peter out a hand over her mouth to shut her.

"We gotta get out of here." Ned said clearly scared.

"No. No. I gotta follow them. Maybe they can lead me to the guy that dropped me in the lake." Peter protested.

"Someone dropped you in a lake?" Ned asked.

"Yeah it was not good."

"You're basically asking to be hurt! What if the guy that dropped you in the lake is here?" Davina placed a hand on Peter's shoulder to make him face her.

"D, that guy could be already hurting people. I've got to stop him." Peter tried to convince her to let him go.

Peter looked back at the two men and saw them going inside a classroom. He started to crouch a little and walk slowly, trying not to be heard. "Peter!" Ned called out.

"No stay there ned, you too D."

"Peter!"

Davina let out an exasperated sigh. Of course Peter didnt listen to her. Her thoughts were cut off by tapping on glass coming from behind them. It was a student.

"What are you doing?" The student asked.

Davina kept an eye on peter until she could no longer see him. "This cannot end well."

"Uh nothing!" Ned responded back. "You good?"

"Chess." The student said back.

Davina still kept her sight on the classroom where the men had entered and started to nudge Ned when she saw that they were leaving. "Ned! Ned, we gotta go."

Ned nodded. "Do you think the guy that dropped him in the lake is here?"

"I hope not."
