Kayli followed Draco, she waited for him to say something about their run-in with Potter, or about anything really.

"Do you want to play 20 questions?" Kayli turned to him.

"What's that?" Draco said turning his head to face her.

"We takes turns asking each other questions. They can be about anything and everything." She said. flinging around her arms.

"Okay. But I'll go first." He said.

"Shoot." She laughed.

"How do you like Hogwarts?" Draco started with a simple question.

"It's nice. Though I would prefer not to be the conversation starter of the school." She smiled.

"Well yeah , did you see that pretty Slytherin girl?" Draco smiled.

She laughed, god how he loved her laugh. Then she turned to him. "You have any siblings?"

"No. What's life like with brothers?" He asked.

"Brothers and a sister. They can be pain in the asses but they're okay. Is it weird being an only child?" She said with a smile.

"It's not like I'm the center of my mother's attention. What are your parents like?" He said.

"Well my stepmom is really perky and her and I don't always see eye to eye, you know. Dad he's really funny, he does a great Charlie Sheen impression." She said, dragging her feet.

"Who?" He asked.

"An American actor. Hm. What's your favorite ice cream flavor?" She laughed.

"Cookie dough." Draco smiled.

"Mine too." She tapped his arm.

"What was your mom like?" He said, hanging his head

"What do you mean was?" She looked offended.

"Oh I'm so sorry, I just meant what's your mom like?" Draco stepped closer to her.

"She might as well be was. I guess. No need to be sorry." She ran a hand through her hair.

"What happened?" He asked, grabbing her arm.

He waited for answer, but instead she just laughed.

"You asked me too questions in a row. Ha!" She pointed at him.

Reaching the door, he looked between her and the painting.

"Whatcha waiting for Drakey?" Kayli laughed.

"You have to use a passcode." He swallowed.

"Well say it, I'm getting kind of sleepy." She said, stretching her arms out.

"Pureblood." He whispered.

The portrait opened and Kayli stepped through. She took a look at the common room. Beautiful colors of green and silver filled the room from the painting on the walls to the rugs.

"You're going to have to teach me that password." She called back.

"Ask someone else to do it." He said.

"Ok no need to get snappy." She said.

"So you'll be sharing a dormitory with Daphne, Pansy, and Millicent. So unfortunate." Draco frowned.

"Why your roommates perfection?" Kayli asked, walking towards the girls dormitory.

"Goyle snores, Blaise talks in his sleep, and Theo has too many mirrors." Draco complained.

"I see and Draco is the perfect roommate." Kayli laughed, turning from him.

"Why yes I am. Thank you for noticing." He smirked, which turned into a smile.

He looked back towards his room and his smile faded.

"Well, I'll see you in the morning." She turned into her bedroom.

Later that night Draco sat in front of the fire with Blaise, Theo, and Pansy.

"So what do you think of Kayli, Pansy?" Blaise asked the brunette.

"She seems alright. Certainly has a fondness over Draco wouldn't you say?" She said with a snarl.

"You did to at one point." Blaise reminded her.

"I think she's cute. What about you Drake?" Theo turned to his friend.

"Yo Drake." Blaise tapped his shoulder.

Draco was lost in his thoughts. He kept going back to what happened to her mom.

His thoughts were interrupted by Theo's clapping him on the back.

"Hey man, here she comes now." Blaise said.

Draco looked towards where Blaise pointed and Kayli was making her way to the middle of the common room.

Kayli had a long baggy dark blue t-shirt on it that had a picture of a skull with wings on it, slightly covering her purple shorts that were just short of her mid-thigh. And she was without her glasses.

"Hey." Theo said, licking his lips.

"Knock it off." Draco smacked his shoulder.

She's going to have dress more modestly, Draco thought to himself

"Hey what are you guys doing up?" She sent a smile in Draco's direction.

"Just enjoying some cookies. Want one?" Blaise lifted a cookie to show her.

"Sure thanks, Blaise." She took it from his hands.

She took a bite out of it. She bent her knees and lowered her shoulders. She let out a small moan, one Draco wouldn't mind hearing again. "Mhm. This is so good, who made these."

Theo pointed to Draco with his mouth full. "Him."

She came around the couch and sat down with the group at the fireplace. Theo tapped the spot next to him but instead she say next to Draco.

"You are a man of many talents. You know that?" She smiled.

"Thank you." He smiled.

After eating two plates of cookies, that his grandmother taught him how to make, and lots of yawning the five decided to call it a day.

Draco laid on his bed thinking about her so long he couldn't remember when he'd fallen asleep the next morning.
