Kayli found her way back to their cart and stayed there the rest of the train ride. Slade and Asher played magic cards, while Neville caught Kayli up on everything she needed to know about Hogwarts and Luna slept.

When they got off the train, there was a tall giant calling for first years, Kayli and Slade left Asher with him, learning his name was Hagrid.

Following Neville and Luna along their entire trip to the castle, they finally reached the door just outside the Great Hall. There stood a woman in long emerald green robes and a purple hat.

Odd combination,She thought to herself. Then she noticed there was a boy next to her holding a sign with their names on it.

Kayli tapped Slade's shoulder and they made their way over to the boy, he had circled glasses and messy black hair.

"Hey nice sign, those are usually seen at airports." Slade laughed.

"Yes they are." The boy stated.

Kayli held out her hand. "Hi, we are Kayli and Slade, our names on your sign."

The boy studied them, searching their faces for something, then he took Kayli's hand and shook if.

"Harry Potter, your great aunt asked me to help get you to sorted." He smiled.

Harry led them into a room. On the stool was a small hat with a crease and then it began to talk.

"Harry Potter." The hat croaked.

"Sorting hat, this is McGonagall's great nephew and niece, sort them. A seventh year and a fourth year." Harry smiled, leaning against the wall.

"Fourth year first." The hat croaked.

Slade sat on the stool, and Harry placed the hat on his head, and the hat began to speak.

"Ah, you'd think McGonagall would give me a challenge. Ravenclaw the boy will go to." The hat said.

Harry patted him on the back. "You did good."

"Now the seventh year." The hat croaked.

Kayli sat on the stool and Harry placed the hat on her head.

"I stand corrected. Hm this one is much like you Mr. Potter. Pride is strong in this one. Slytherin she'll be." The hat said.

Harry winced as the two children look at him.

"What's wrong?" Kayli asked him.

"Nothing. Come on, got to get the hat to the Hall for the first years." Harry said.

He grabbed two small sets of clothing. Both had ties, one was blue and bronze colored, while the other was green and silver.

Harry took the hat and stool and took it to the Great Hall. Slade and Kayli both changed into them and Harry was standing outside.

"Nice." Harry smiled.

They watched as most of the first years had been called, then Proffessor Flitwick called "Parker, Asher."

Harry had taken the two siblings to stand by the door, Harry leaned against the wall watching the two lean forward as their brothers name was called.

The hat was placed on his head. "This makes the third of your blood I've sorted today. Go with...Gryffindor!"

The entire Gryffindor table burst into applause, Asher looked towards the Headmistress, and she moved her hand towards the door. He noticed his siblings and walked towards them.

Most of the students were confused, but then as the next name was called they turned their attention back to the Proffessor.

Draco's eyes followed the boy whom shared the last name of his, friend could he call her, and it led him to the door where he saw her standing there with Harry Potter.

He watched as Asher reached the group and Harry practically snapped his fingers and the three followed him like a posse.

She was the last out of the group of four to leave, not before Draco noticing her tie.

Green and silver. She was a Slytherin!

After McGonagall did an introduction, she allowed the feast to begin and she followed the path Potter had taken several minutes before to Dumble-er her office.

Reaching there, was Harry Potter himself and three children. She took the time to study each face, and recognized its distinctive feature each child had in common with their father, whom McGonagall had met at the wedding.

"You're my niece's children?" McGonagall said with a smile.

"Stepchildren." Kayli corrected rather quickly.

"Yes, um Harry would you get Mrs. Granger, I would like to talk to my relatives alone and you and Mrs. Granger will be helping Slade and Kayli around." McGonagall said.

Harry left the office with a nod and they could hear his rather quick footsteps.

"So have you a liking to the school?" McGonagall asked the children.

Asher beamed. "Yeah, this castle is so cool!"

"Have you met any friends?" McGonagall asked.

"A couple." Slade smiled.

Moments of awkward silence later, Harry returned with the girl from the train.

"Hermoine, good to see you again. You and Mr.Potter will be showing my niece's children around." McGonagall said.

"Stepchildren." Slade corrected her.

"Well young, Ashton is it?" Harry asked.

"Asher." Kayli corrected for her younger brother.

"My apologizes. Asher could probably just join the other first years." Harry suggested.

"Very well. Harry take him back to the Great Hall, and then return." McGonagall sighed.

Harry took the youngest out of the office, leaving the four in the office.

"So Slade do you happen to have met any fourth years or Ravenclaws?" McGonagall asked.

"Luna said she was a Ravenclaw, right?" Slade looked to his older sister.

Kayli nodded, and McGonagall turned to her. "Have you met any other seventh years or Slytherins?"

Kayli smiled. "I've met Hermoine, Harry, Luna, Neville Longbottom, and Draco Malfoy."

"Hermoine, go fetch Mrs. Lovegood and Mr. Malfoy will you?" McGonagall asked.

The girl left, leaving the relatives in the room and a silence hanging over their heads.
