That Slytherin Girl

"Twenty points to Gryffindor and Slytherin."

Kayli got up that morning with a funny feeling in the pit of her stomach. She ignored it as she pulled on a Slytherin green button-up.

"Getting ready to go with Draco, are we?" A voice said from the doorway.

Kayli turned to see it was Pansy. Pany's long black hair was up in a messy bun, and she was in her green and silver pajamas.

"So what if I am?" Kayli snarled at the girl as she pulled the black vest over her head.

"Don't get your hopes up, he won't be paying you attention for long." She snapped, starting to get dressed herself.

"What do you mean?" Kayli pulled her long brown hair back into a ponytail, and brushed her bangs so they barely covered her glasses.

"Draco switches from girl to girl, once he's had his way with you, you'll be useless to him." Pansy said, undoing her hair to brush it.

"Maybe he's changed." Kayli said as she pulled on a pair of black pants.

"Of course he has, I mean you do know he is a Death Eater." Pansy said, pulling on a green v-neck.

"What's a Death Eater?" Kayli said, putting some of her books in her brown schoolbag.

"Ask him about it." Pansy said, grabbing her stack of books from her nightstand.

"Hey by the way, what's the portrait password?" Kayli asked her.

"Pureblood. I have to go meet up with Daphne before breakfast." Pansy said, opening the common room door.

"Hm. Thanks." She said, as Pansy left the common room.

Kayli sat on the couch in the middle of the common room before she heard the certain blonde's voice coming from the hallway to the boys dormitory.

She noticed him walking with Theo and Blaise so she stood up. "Hey boys."

"Hey Kayli, we were heading down to breakfast want to come with?" Blaise asked.

"Sure." She said, sneaking her arm into link with Draco's.

He turned to look at her, but decided he kinda liked it so he turned his head to Theo, who had red in his cheeks.

As they reached the hall, Harry and Ron made their way to Draco. Harry had a low look on his face, and Ron looked angry.

"We'll be there in a minute, guys." Draco said, taking Kayli by the hand and pulling her outside of the Great Hall.

Harry was the first to speak as the four of them stood in silence. "I assume you know why we are here."

Draco nodded, while Kayli didn't speak or move. Ron stared at the ground while he spoke. "We want to apologize."

"For how we acted last night." Harry added.

Draco looked to her, and then back to the boys. "Thank you."

The boys nodded and then returned to the Great Hall. Kayli was about to follow them when Draco grabbed her arm.

"You alright?" Kayli asked.

"Don't go back in there just yet." Draco said, staring at the ground as he slid to the ground.

"Okay." She said, sitting next to him. She took his hand in hers and placed them on his knee.

They sat there in silence, as they heard voices coming from the hallway, Kayli looked up to see her little brother talking to a dirty blonde haired girl.

"Hey sis." Slade smiled to her.

"Hey have you seen Asher this morning?" She asked.

"No, Astoria and I were just talking about the DADA essay." Slade turned to the blonde haired girl next to him.

"Hi Draco." Astoria said.

"Morning Tori, how are you?" Draco asked.

"Good. And you?" She asked.

Draco's gaze met his and Kayli's hands intertwined on his knee. "I'm doing good."

Slade's eyes met where Draco's were and got a bad feeling in his stomach, like he was angry. "Come on Astoria we don't want to miss breakfast."

"Hey can we join you? I want to talk to Luna about something." Kayli smiled.

Slade drew his eyes from Draco as the two stood up from the floor, and he spoke behind gritted teeth. "Sure."

The four made their way to the Ravenclaw table, and sat next to Luna who was sitting with Neville, holding hands.

"Hey Luna." Kayli smiled, and her best friend looked up with red in her cheeks.

"Morning Kay, and Draco." She said.

"Good Morning." Draco said sitting next to Kayli.

"Sup Neville." Kayli sat talking over her friend.

"Nothing much." The black haired boy smiled, looking down to his and Luna's hands.

"So Quidditch tryouts are this Saturday, are you playing for Gryffindor, Neville?" Draco asked.

"Yeah. You for Slytherin?" He asked.

"Probably." Draco said, taking a sip of a nearby glass of water.

"What about you, Kayli?" Luna asked.

"I'll do tryouts." She said taking a grape off of Luna's plate.

Draco looked down at his watch and noticed the time."Hey we have Potions, guys."

"Oh we better get going." Neville said rising.

"You guys go, I'll see you in Herbology?" Luna asked Neville.

"Of course." He smiled, leaning down and placing a kiss on Luna's cheek.

Draco smiled, Neville looked happy. He patted him on the back on their way out of the Great Hall.

As they reached Slughorn's class, Draco watched Kayli look a little nervous when Slughorn said they would partners.

"Alright. Weasley and Nott, Longbottom and Zabini, Potter and Malfoy, Parker and Granger." Was all that Kayli heard. Hermione and Harry moved towards them.

"Hey." Kayli smiled, switching sides with Harry.

"Hello." Hermione said, opening her textbook.

"Malfoy." Harry said sitting down.

"Potter." Malfoy opened his book as well.

"So, Kayli do you like Hogwarts?" Harry asked.

"Very much so, thank you." Kayli smiled.

About twenty minutes later, Harry and Draco had finished their potion, and Hermione and Kayli were almost done. "So you just drop this in the cauldron and we'll be done." Hermione said handing her a slimy little thing.

Kayli set in the mixture and the potion started to bubble. Hermione waved her wand and the lid fell on the cauldron.

Slughorn called time and he looked through Ron's and Theo's potion and shook his head. As he reached Neville and Blaise's potion he gave a weak smile. He look over Harry and Draco's potion and Kayli and Hermione's potion at the same time.

"Very good. Mrs. Parker, Mr. Malfoy twenty points to Slytherin." Slughorn announced.

"Mrs. Granger, Mr. Potter, twenty points to Gryffindor as well." Slughorn looked to Harry and just gave him a smile.

The four gave each other high fives. Harry looked to Hermione and she gave him a subtle wink. While Draco gave a sly smile to Kayli.
