|1260|Chris undid his tie as him and Ricky walked down the hallways.
"So is he your boyfriend?"
"Who?"
"The photographer."
If Ricky had a nickel for every time Chris got protective of obsessive over him, he'd be where Chris is now. Swimming in hundred dollar bills.
"Bryce? Ew, no." He laughed.
"I saw the way he was smiling at you."
"He's more like family. Plus I'm pretty sure he already has a boyfriend."
"What about the guy at the store?"
Ricky's eyes went wide, like a deer in the headlights. He really was being a little intrusive. It was adorable though.
"Frank? I'd fuck myself with a knife, then use that same knife to cut off my dick and feed it to a homeless kid before I ever lay a hand anywhere near that crucified gooch nun."
Chris burst out into hysterics. He was close to falling on the floor in tears. Ricky didn't pay attention to Chris practically dying and just walked ahead, it was only when he actually fell on the floor and made a huge thud, he noticed he walked a good 8 metres away from him.
"Oh come on, it wasn't that funny."
Chris couldn't even speak, he was still in tears. He finally calmed down after 15 minutes of tears and Ricky tapping him with his foot. Even then he was still laughing as they got out to the car.

As the two sat down after ordering, Chris poured tea into Ricky's cup. He muttered a thank you and held the round mug by the base, keeping his hands warm. Chris reached for Ricky's muffin and unwrapped half before placing it back down onto the plate.
"You seem nervous."
"I find you intimidating."
"So you should. Eat." Chris said, gesturing to the unwrapped muffin.
"Not to mention high handed."
"I'm used to getting my own way."
"It must get very boring."
You wouldn't say that if you knew.
"Tell me about your family."
The way that Ricky visibly tensed and panicked was enough to show that family was a tough subject. Chris immediately felt sorry for bringing up a harsh topic.
"Oh. There's not much." Ricky replied, looking down at his hands as he tried not to cry in front of everyone. Mainly Chris.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bring it up." Chris apologised.
"No no, it's fine. Um my dad got murdered when I was a baby so I was raised by my stepdad Ray, he was a special case to say the least. My sister passed away last year. My mom is on husband number 5, she's an incurable romantic."
"Are you?"
Please say no, I want this to work.
"Am I a romantic? I study English Lit, so I kinda have to be."
I can't ruin him. Not yet, not ever.
"But the photos were great, Ryan really appr-"
"I-I'm sorry. I-I can't."
"What?" Ricky asked, disappointment flooding his body.
"I-I'll walk you out."
Chris stood up and slowly walked off, waiting for Ricky to catch up. The two walked out, Ricky asking him questions as they walked alongside each other.
"Do you have a boyfriend? Is that it?"
"I don't do the boyfriend thing."
Ricky was too busy trying to get to the middle of Chris and started to wander off onto the road. A cyclist was at his right, going full speed. Chris grabbed a hold of Ricky's waist and pulled him back forcefully.
"Watch it." He whisper yelled.
Ricky started to relax in his arms, but still hyperventilating from nearly getting hit by a bike. He studied Chris' face, noticing the little things instead of the obvious drawn on eyebrows and lip piercings. He saw the smallest stud in his nose and a small hole above his upper lip showing his retired Monroe piercing. He also noticed two small scars on the upper cartilage of his ear, possibly another retired piercing. Chris caressed Ricky's cheek, keeping his hand there as Ricky leaned into his touch.
"I'm not the guy for you. You should stay clear from me."
Ricky stared into his eyes, seeing the dulled yellow-toned brown irises. He wanted some form of emotion to come out of him, not this 'leave me alone' bullshit. Ricky harshly gulped as he tried to hold back tears.
"Goodbye, Mr. Cerulli."
Ricky ripped Chris' arm away from his waist and walked down the street to his apartment. He didn't realise how close he was until he actually made it there.
As soon as he stepped in the door, he got his blanket and sat on the couch, putting 'Pet Sematary' before doing so.
The tears that pooled in his eyes had fallen before the opening titles could finish. He sat there and silently cried as the movie went on. Ricky eventually laid down and cried himself to sleep, not even halfway through the movie.
Two hours after the movie ended, Ryan walked through the door and saw Ricky laying on the couch. He chuckled to himself and went over to wake him up and help him to bed. The light from the dimly lit TV shone onto Ricky's face, showing that he'd been crying. Ryan had thought Ricky was going through another bout of depression, as this has happened beforehand. Usually Ryan would try and wake Ricky but would give up after a small while. He was surprised when Ricky jumped into his arms, waterfalls of tears cascading down his cheeks and Ryan's back.
Ryan tried his best to soothe him, but he wasn't exactly the best therapy material. Ricky calmed down soon enough and pulled away from Ryan.
"C-can I stay with you tonight? Like we used to?" Ricky stuttered.
"I, uh, I don't know Rick. I don't want to feel like I'm taking advantage of you."
"Please, Ryan? I promise it'll be the last time I ask." Ricky pleaded softly, wanting to feel some form of love.
"Okay. But this will be the last time. I don't want to ruin anything between you and Chris."
"Thank you, Ry. I love you."
"Love you too."
Ryan swept Ricky up and took him to his bedroom, setting him down on the bed before changing into some more comfortable clothes. He crawled onto the bed and sat Ricky in his lap. He traced his finger down his jaw and onto his chest, eventually pulling Ricky closer and kissing him. Ryan moved to lay down while Ricky straddled his hips. Ricky took the opportunity to grab onto Ryan's hair and pull it, making him let out a deep moan.
Ricky took some of his new found knowledge and used it on Ryan, licking his bottom lip. Ryan parted his lips and let Ricky's tongue slide in as he started grinding himself onto Ricky's thigh. He needed some friction and he wasn't getting any he wanted. Ricky started to kiss his way down Ryan's jaw and chest, stopping at his sweatpants.
Ricky knew that this was the last time this was ever going to happen. He was saddened to think that the person he's loved for years wants to stop the only thing that kept them close, but he was happy Ryan was out doing something with his life. Yeah, he's going to miss cuddling with Ryan on the couch and the random times he crawls into bed with him just to make out at 3 in the morning, but it's all for the best. Ryan will always have a part of Ricky's heart, as Ricky will always have a part of his.
