Like clockwork (literally) the sound of the alarm tore me out of the dream world and back into reality. Glancing at my window the sun had just started to rise, meaning that I had enough time to get everything ready. After having a quick shower I slipped on the uniform and paired the black skirt and white blouse with black converse. Letting my hair dry naturally, the slight waviness framed my face in a complimentary way.

Grabbing my timetable I noticed that I only had one class that needed a book, "English," I said out loud, rolling my eyes. I was never terrible at english but it wasn't a class that I had ever looked forward too. Picking out a black tote bag I filled it with the book, a pen and other essentials. Checking off everything I needed to in my head I realised that I still needed to put some makeup on and get something to eat. Moments later I had the former done but not the latter, after finding out that there was no food in my dorm.

As I was picking up my bag the sound of my stomach grumbled telling me that I needed to find something to eat. Placing the bag on my shoulder I picked up my keys and left the dorm. Turning to my right I knocked on Gracie's door and leant up against the wall, suddenly realising that I was more tired than I had thought. With the seconds passing by I came to the conclusion that she wasn't in her dorm, and with the sounds my stomach was making I headed off to find somewhere to eat. As I started heading out of the dorm building I remembered that yesterday we had past a cafe that was beside the library.

Making my way over to the cafe it wasn't very busy with only a few people sitting inside. Pushing open the door, the air conditioning came as a relief even this early in the morning. After ordering a take away mocha and raspberry muffin I sat down in one of their wooden chairs, near a window facing out onto the court yard. Sighing I rested my head onto my hand and looked out the window watching as the sun grew higher in the sky.
"Lyra!" My name was loudly called startling me. Walking over I grabbed my food and thanked the waitress. Turning around I smacked right into something.

"Owe!" I said out loud with my grip firm on my food glad that it was still intact.
"We really have to stop meeting like this," a familiar voice stated. Looking up my eyes came to face the very same guy that I had run into at the gas station. Taking a set back I stood their with nothing to say.
"I think your food's getting cold?" he said pointing to the mocha and muffin in my hands.
"Ugh yeah," I replied sounding like a complete idiot. Slightly shaking my head I continued walking past him. Just as I stood by his side he looked down at me, "See you in class," he stated with a small smirk on his face. Wrinkling my eyebrows in confusion he turned around and went to order. Turning around myself I exited the cafe and headed over to the building with all the class rooms in it.

It was about halfway through class, I had found my way with little struggle and was now sitting next to a girl who's name I think was Claire, I hadn't been paying much attention. The teacher who's name had already slipped my mind was standing at the front holding a white board marker. I thought English would be more interesting in a magic school but to my dismay it was exactly the same...very boring.

"So class, what was Shakespeare's trying to portray in act 3 scene 4?" She asked as we all tried to not make eye contact with her. Taking a deep breathe the teacher spoke, "Claire, what do you think?" Thankful that she hadn't said my name, Claire flipped through her book trying to find the answer. "Forgiveness, he's portraying forgiveness." A voice from of the back of the classroom responded. "Very good Cam," the teacher replied. Turning around I hadn't realised but there Cam was, sitting up the back leaning on the table playing with a pen. Facing back to the front time began to pass and soon enough the bell rang signalling it was the end of class. Like usual everybody was in a rush to get out of class and to meet up with their friends for their next class. Taking my time I slowly put everything into my bag and stood up from where I was sitting.
