Mrs Lancaster, Rivers and I were now all present in the office of Headmistress Dartwood. I sat in a chair opposite hers, Mrs Lancaster stood to the left behind me and Rivers stood tall beside a book case; near the door. His hands were locked together in front of him and the look on his face was one not of contentment. He was was probably still angry from his last encounter with the headmistress, which I never found out why.

"Mrs Lancaster, what is the matter?" Mrs Dartwood asked placing her hands on the desk in front of her.
Taking a step around the chair, Mrs Lancaster flashed her eyes down to me and then back up to the Headmistress. "My student's were practicing their magic and Miss Black drew from all the students within the room to heighten hers." She said somewhat out of breath.

Mrs Dartwood's eyes fell onto me as she intertwined her hands. "Lyra, I am aware that your gift is extremely rare, therefore we don't have much information on augmentation. I'm also sure that you didn't know what you were doing", flicking her eyes up at Mrs Lancaster. "However, we must make sure that no students are harmed or put in danger."
"So what are you suggesting?" Stated Rivers walking over to my side.
"Lyra is to still attend regular classes but she also must learn from Pricilla." Mrs Dartwood announced standing up from her seat.
Both Rivers and Mrs Lancaster seemed slightly unprepared for her response as Rivers grabbed the arm chair I was sitting on and Mrs Lancaster let out a small exclamation.
Scrunching my eyebrows together I looked from Lancaster to Rivers to the Headmistress, "Who's Pricilla?" I questioned everybody in the room.

It was Headmistress who spoke first. "She is gifted with augmentation same as you."
I remembered Gracie saying something about how there was an old woman who had the same gift as me, I hadn't really thought about it since then.
Rivers spoke in a monotone voice, "My aunt"
"Wait what? Why haven't you mentioned this before?" I demanded to him.
"It's not something I usually like to discuss." Was all he said in response.
We all turned back to the desk as the Headmistress pulled out a few pieces of paper. After another few minutes of discussion we decided, well more like Headmistress and Rivers decided, that I will attend classes Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and then Thursday and Friday I would visit Pricilla for practice. Rivers had also convinced Headmistress Dartwood that he should accompany me, she agreed upon the idea as long as he didn't get in the way. As we finished up we left Mrs Lancaster and Mrs Dartwood to discuss other matters. Rivers and I returned to classes and the day went on as normal.

The next few days were a drag, classes where long and boring. Cam had been avoiding me as much as he could, it was awkward when the group was together cause Gracie spilt the beans to the others about Cam kissing me. I had been working on focusing my augmentation but I wasn't getting anywhere fast. A sudden jolt brought me back to reality. I was sitting in the back of a car with Rivers as we headed towards Pricilla's house. Rivers told me that she lived a couple miles out from the academy.

It was Thursday meaning that I would spend the next two days with this woman Pricilla, Rivers didn't seem to like her very much so I was hoping she wasn't a horrible person.
Hey Lyra, we're  almost there," Rivers said lightly placing his hand on my shoulder to fully wake me up from my daze. As I turned my head to face his, our eyes interlocked and he gave me a small smile, taking his hand off my shoulder. As I looked out the window I could see a large house slowly emerge from the dense forest. With the car moving up the driveway the house slowly transformed into a mansion.
"Omg," I sighed in awe, "This place is amazing!"
"It's even better inside," said Rivers opening is car door.

Stepping out of the car, I waved our driver goodbye and took in the view in front of me. The mansion was white with blue accents, large windows framed the front of the house. I looked to Rivers to find him uneasy and tense. "It will be fine, you don't even have to talk to her if you don't want to," I stated trying to make him feel better about the situation.
He gently nodded and we slowly walked to the large front door. Ringing the doorbell I stepped back and felt warmth on the hand. I then felt fingers intertwine with mine. He didn't say anything but I knew that by holding my hand it calmed his nerves in some way. Has the door gently slide open, Rivers hand fell from my grasp and his figure tensed up once again.
"Hello," the man stated, "You must be Lyra," he said shaking my hand. "Oh Rivers it's been too long, how are you?" The man said with a smile.
