"Guys! Hurry up!" Castiel sounded the alarm. "What, what?!" Dean groaned. "Demons!" Everybody was all ears after that. "Wait how?" Castiel looked at Sam. "They found me."
Lilian had been reading a book before everyone got their things and ran to the impala. "Everybody in now!" Dean was panicking, everyone listened and sat in a seat. Soon they were all out of the driveway and on the highway. Lilian had stayed quiet, but she had a look of terror on her face even though she was trying to hide it. Dean looked at Castiel.
"How did they get here so fast?" Castiel watched him.
"Please keep your eyes on the road so you don't die." Dean returned his gaze to the road.
"They had one of them come over here and then summon the rest." Cas answered. Dean sighed.
"Oh of course they found a way to break the system, well, we should start by get a hotel room. Then, me Sam and Cas will ward the place, and set up some demon traps. We'll head out in the morning to get rid of these sons of bi-" He was cut off by Sam, who had put his hand over Deans mouth.
"And then we'll get rid of them." Sam finished for him.
"Yeah, that." Dean said, once Sam had released his face. He glanced back at Lilian after a few seconds went by.
"You doing good back there?" Lilian nodded. She was looking out the window. Suddenly her eyes flashed green, only for a second. And the car next to them practically flew off the highway.
"Holy-" All of them watched the car in awe. Lilian started by looking surprised, then scared as she forced her gaze from the car to her hands. Castiel noticed this.
"Lilian..." She looked up at him pulling her hands towards her.
"Hey, it's okay." He said. Reaching out and touching her hands. Lilian seemed cautious, but gave in. Cas moved his hands so that they were cupping Lilian's.
"No one got hurt. It's going to be okay." He lied. She nodded. But still looked scared.
"Are you scared of the demons?" She nodded again.
"That's okay, we can take care of that." Lilian looked down at her feet.
"Okay."Sam's POV
We all arrived at the hotel about 30 minutes away from the crash. When we got all set up, me and Cas started the warding. Angel warding is used so that no angels except for the ones we have allowed can get in. Dean was working on the demon traps, (exactly what they sound like). And Lilian was doing her own thing. After me and Cas finished the warding, Dean had already finished the traps. But Lilian was still doing her own thing, and I decided to check on her.
"Hey Lil, what are you doing?" She looked up at me with caring eyes. Then she held up a piece of paper. It was an amazing drawing for someone as young as her, it had all sorts of flowers and a fountain. All found under a tree. A willow tree. I didn't know where she got the pencil or the piece of paper but it was amazing, and beautiful.
"Wow Lil! That's amazing!" She smiled and bowed her head.
"Thank you." She muttered. She was probably not used to getting positive feedback. I loathe her parents. Suddenly I caught a glimpse of Dean from the corner of my eye, he was looking at Lilian's drawing all confused-like. It looked like he was remembering a memory lost long ago.
"Hey Dean, you okay?" I asked. He nodded his head.
"I'm just fine Sammy." The way he said it only made me more suspicious. Knowing this Dean told everyone that he was going out to get food. Castiel decided to go with him because it's: "Safer if we go with someone, in pairs. You know, cause' the demons." I think it was just a excuse to stay with Dean. So they left me and Lilian in the crappy hotel room. We were quiet for a while, then Lilian spoke up.
"Sam?"
"Yes?"
"Are you okay?" I looked at her. What does she mean?
"Why wouldn't I be?" I asked cautiously.
"You know how I mentioned Gabriel, right? You looked mad." I paused.
"I'm fine, I just." My insides hurt a bit.
"Gabriel was a good friend." She looked at me.
"Did you guys have a fight?" I returned the gaze, her features were plastered with confusion, her brows almost pressed together above her freckled nose. I felt my brain slowly fill with the same emotion, first I was barely aware of it, then it became so big it was almost overwhelming.
"No, he..." My throat hurt. I shouldn't be telling her.
"He went into another world, he didn't come back." I managed. She looked at me.
"But he's alive, isn't he?" I couldn't say anything, so I nodded yes. She looked more confused then ever.
"He's... dead?" I nodded again. Her head dropped down.
"But, he can't be..."
"I'm sorry, but he is." Lilian suddenly looked terrified.
"He can't be, because I've been talking to him for the past three weeks." My confusion disappeared. And my eyes gave away my instant fear for what could have happened to her.
"That can't have been him, it can't have been." She looked at me.
"Then who was it?"
"Who?"
"Someone was in my room last night, they talked to me." Fear was rising in my stomach. What comes next? The phone rang. Picking it up I saw who was calling. Dean.
