Chapter 2: Present Day Madness

*PRESENT DAY*

Matts POV

I just got a call from Summers mom saying she was in the hospital. What am I gonna do? If we would've hung out this never would've happened. As I was driving I started thinking about how I feel about Summer. We've known each other for a while now and I've had feelings for her that I've kept in but I couldn't tell her because she just started dating this dude Kyle. I got to the hospital. I walk up to front desk to see what room she was in and I saw her parents walking towards me.

"Is everything going to be ok?" I asked them.

"We aren't sure yet, she's in a coma right now." Her mom said with tears in her eyes.

I took a seat and about a half hour later the doctor said she was awake. Her parents went in and I looked through the window they were talking to her but she had her eyes still closed and she wasn't responding. Kyle her boyfriend wasn't here which I couldn't believe. I texted him saying that she was in hospitial and he just read it and never came. I came in once her parents walked out. I walked inside the room, very plain white and blue tiles with a tv a nightstand by her bed and her medical stuff. I think she was too tired to do anything, not even open her eyes because the doctor said she wasn't in the coma anymore but she had her eyes closed. Her body lay there helplessly.

"I don't know if you can hear me but I'm here. It's Matt by the way. I'm so sorry this happened to you I should've just came over," I said. I was trying to tell her how I felt but I just couldn't. "Ok well just please stay strong I hope for you to get better and I will be checking on you 24-7" I said and walked out of the room. I decided to run by Kyle's to see what possibly could be more important than seeing your hospitalized girlfriend. I walked up to the door and rang the doorbell a couple times. I knew he was home, I looked trought the windows and saw him and Megan. Megan was suppose to be out of town with family...
