i had this idea last night and i thought it was cute.

"Oh my god are you kidding me?" I mumble under my breath.
My friend stood me up again.
She said she had all this boy drama shit and as a 'real' friend I asked if she wanted to meet up.

Well oh well. She doesn't show up.

I slump back on the chair tapping my fingers on the table.
Since being in Chicago for most of my life I'd realised that i've never actually eaten out in a restaurant around here. I guess my mum's always been a good cook so I never had to.

"And here you are miss."

"Thank you." I say still looking down but wait, that voice?
I swear I've heard it somewhere.

But he was already walking away, his tall figure fading from my view.

"Dammit."

This food was gorgeous. Yes, I used the term gorgeous to describe my lunch. But oh my lord you would too.

"You enjoying yourself?"
My head snapped like a fucking zombie and my heart stopped.

My eyes wide. I knew he could already sense the very fangirly vibe that was most likely going to burst.

Out of breath I gasp
"I knew you sounded familiar."

He chuckled and that cute Gilbert smile came through.

"You're am extremely good actor must I say."
He smiled once again, shaking his head in disbelief.

"I mean it".
His eyes light up.

"Thank you it means a lot."
Wow. He looked really hot with a bandana.

Y/N stop.

"It's honestly nothing. I only speak the truth."
I hope.

"No seriously." He casually sits opposite me.
"It's not just the fact that you said such sweet things to me it's also that you didn't try and burst my eardrums when you saw me."
He sighs.

No no
My lucas baby zumann can't be sad.
I will not allow this.

"Well I'm not a fan girl that shows excitement from the outside. Trust me I'm spazzing right now in here." I place my hand on my heart.

He giggles and I feel the sudden urge to give him a hug. But I wouldn't. Cause that would be weird. I'm not weird.

"You here all alone?" He asks.
I could see a fellow waiter peeping his head wondering what on earth Lucas was doing talking to a customer.

"Initially no. Now yes."
Now he senses I'm sad.

He touches my arm and gazes up at me "Well whoever it is sure seems like an idiot."

I burst out laughing.
"You don't even know me Lucas freakin Zumann."

There's silence for a little til he speaks up.

"Maybe I want to know you."

Uh
Que?

"Me? You want to know me?"
I furrow my eyebrows.

"Yeah why not? I think I need a couple new friends." He grins folding his arms.

I try to focus my attention on something else but my eyes kept drawing to his.

"Well I don't see how it's a bad idea."
I swear I'm probably grinning from ear to ear in this precise moment.

"Yeah me either." Lucas leans a little forward over the table.
He gives me a smile and I swear it was going to happen but...

"Lucas!" A man shouts startling both of us.
"Get back to work."

His face goes red as he apologies to the dude with the fat hat on his head.
Chefs think they're so superior.

"So its a deal? New friends."
He whispers not trying to catch more attention than he already is.

"Definitely." I reply getting up myself as I'll look like a loner if I didn't leave.

Lucas gives me a hug and I walk out.

The sun was setting and my heart was honestly melting from what just happened.

"Wait!" I'm snapped out of la la land when the familiar curly boy shouts from across the street.

"I didn't catch your name."

"It's Y/N."
