Beep beep. Beep beep.
Slowly, she opened her eyes and quickly shut them back again realising she was far from ready to start off the day. She moved her hand underneath her head but instead of feeling a soft pillow, it felt like a hard paper-like surface. In confusion, she shot her head up.
Great. The young fell asleep on her books. Noticing the drool slobbered on the pages, she shut it in embarrassment.
Beep beep. Beep beep.
Her hands grabbed the iPhone X which was sitting on the bed stand and switched off the alarm. Once she had seen the time, she began to rush, even though she was not late. She had planned on going early to get some revision done. Seems like that's not happening. Though, skiving with kookie is always an option.
Once she had completed her usual morning routine, she threw on a black hoodie and light blue jeans, grabbed her rucksack and headed downstairs to the kitchen.
"Heejin," the girl's mother smiled as she marched into the kitchen. She pointed to a plate which had cheesy potato pancakes stacked on. There was also a cup filled with a mango-lime smoothie. It was known that her mother always made the best breakfasts.
"Morning mum and dad," she marvelled and took a seat at the table.
"You look tired, did you sleep well?" Her father inquired with concern written all over his face.
"I stayed up late revising for a test but I had a good sleep," She explained. He wasn't too keen on her staying up late. He says that she should get a minimum of 9 hours of sleep.
Her mother, on the other hand seemed proud that she stayed up late to study, "ah well done." Her thick Korean accent stood out. She hardly speaks or even understands English. Though, she recently started taking English classes.
"I need to go to school now," she got up from her seat and grabbed her bag. Before leaving she made sure to say, "saranghae."

Heejin's legs dragged her body down the corridor whilst her hands were tightly gripped on the textbook. She never usually cared about tests this much but she needed as many credits as possible.
Her feet continued to drag me towards the classroom as her lips recited the words in the textbook, "magnesium metal reacts with oxygen gas, forming magnesium oxi- woaahhh."
A somewhat tall figure yanked Heejin away from the room, squeezing the life out of her arm. He harshly held onto her, it felt as if her veins would pop. She didn't bother trying to get out of his grip, it just wasn't possible.
"Dude stop! I've got a test! Where are we going and who even are you?"
"We're skiving," was all he said.
"Oh it's you."
They arrived at the bleachers with jungkook's hand still attached to her arm. She followed him to the seats and then sat down beside him, finally putting the textbook down. No one said anything for a while. They watched the team play baseball and occasionally glanced at each other.
Heejin sighed out of tediousness and decided to put her textbook away. She pulled out her phone from her pocket, went straight onto snapchat and began recording jungkook.
He smiled for a second before hiding behind her shoulders. Heejin couldn't help but let out a little laugh at his cuteness.
"Let me see it," jungkook beamed.
She showed him the snap before posting it on her story. Realising that she didn't have him on snapchat, she got jungkook to add himself on.
Heejin enjoyed being in Jungkook's company. Even though they never actually spent time alone; they would usually just mess around in Chemistry or say a few words in the hall. Nevertheless, it was always fun.
They talked. A lot. They talked about their favourite shows, music, food, hobbies and even their childhood. She learnt a lot about him within the span of one period. He told her about his attentiveness for art and he how he enjoyed reading comic books. His stories were interesting to her.
"Jeon Jungkook!" A voice from behind yelled.
Both instantly turned around to see a group of guys walking towards them. Heejin didn't feel comfortable being surrounded by so many males but felt at ease when she saw a familiar face; Yoongi.
"Heejin?" Min Yoongi tilted his head a little and furrowed his eyebrows.
"Hey," she chirped, removing her bag from the chair beside her as an indication for the boys to sit down.
Yoongi pushed himself past the other 5 and quickly sat down on the now empty seat.
"Heejin that's Namjoon, Jin, Taehyung, Hoseok and Chim Chim," Jungkook introduced. They each smiled and waved as their names were mentioned, and also cackled at the use of Jimin's nickname.
"My name's Jimin actually," the boy with the ginger hair stated, pointing his index finger up. "It's nice to meet you."
"You too," she smiled, meeting eyes with him.
A bright smile was glued onto his face the entire time, causing his cheeks to puff out a little. His bangs fell just under his eyebrows, curving away from his face. Heejin couldn't help but notice how his glasses perfectly sat on the bridge of his nose, which was probably why he looked so mature.
"So how do you know Jungkook?" Yoongi questioned her, pulling her out of her thoughts.
"Unfortunately I have to sit next to him in Chem," she sighed, my lips forming into a smirk.
"You'd die out of boredom if it wasn't for my company."
"Psht! I die out of boredom when I'm in your company."
"Lies."
"You wish."
"I think they forgot we're here," a black-haired boy laughed. He goes by the name of Hoseok.
"Sorry hyung," Jungkook looked down sheepishly.
The rest of the boys finally took a seat and included themselves in the conversation. They were all super chill and humorous. Though, yoongi did seem a little quite, Heejin observed.
