Diggy's P.O.V
I'm not gunna lie, that text made me nervous. It made me very afraid to know what this girl would do next. I was even more afraid that Imani would read that text and freak out. I've never been the guy to date a girl who fought, a girl who was jealous, a girl who allowed drama to happen, or a girl to read a my text messages. But then I met Imani and that all changed. A lot changed. She was strong, hard working, intelligent, an extremely beautiful black woman that I could always be proud of. As long as i've known her she's never had pointless girl drama and she didn't fight too much. She was never afraid to stand up for herself and others, but I had no clue what would happen when another girl wanted what she had.
"What's on your mind?" she asked snapping me out of my thoughts.
I looked up at her and realized that we were sitting together in a booth eating. I was so encompassed in my thoughts that I was completely oblivious to what was happening around me.
"Hmm? Oh. Um.. Nothing" I lied.
"You suck at lying" she said coldly.
"No really it's nothing. I just... I was thinking about my family" I lied once again.
"You miss 'em?" she asked looking up at me with a look that dampened my palms.
She definitely saw through my lie and I had a feeling that this wasn't over.
"Yeah I do actually. My mom asked about you a couple times" I replied.
Now that wasn't a lie. She actually was really interested in seeing how she was doing after the whole Angel incident. We all know that Imani and my mom were never cool and I desperately wanted to change that.
"Really?" she asked a little thrown aback.
"Yeah. I talked to her about that night a while after it happened" I answered.
"Woah which that night!? Like the night we..." her voice trailed off as I choked on my burger.
"Are you crazy!? Hell no I didn't tell my mom about THAT specific night. I was talking about the night I came over drunk!!" I whisper yelled.
"Ohhhh... Okay good" she replied.
"Well she told me that it was best to leave you alone and let you heal and things like that and then there was the Angel thing and she started to think different about you" I explained.
"Not so happy you told your mom my business, but yaay" she replied.

Imani's P.O.V
I changed into my Elmo pajama's and pulled my hair into a messy pony tail. I went back into my room and took a seat onto the bed. We had kicked Roc out and into Jazzy's bed in the other room, so that Diggy and I could be together.
Diggy placed his hands behind his head and I turned to look at him. I could see through him. I saw through his lie. And I was gunna get the truth out of him one way or another. He stuck his tongue out at me and I faked a smile.
"So you want to tell me the truth?" I asked leaning back up.
I crossed my arms and looked at him.
"What?" he asked raising an eyebrow.
"You know what I'm talking about" I answered.
He rolled his eyes and sighed.
"I don't want to talk about it" he said massaging the wrinkles in his forehead.
