"Um...Mom? What the heck is an Elemental?" I asked, clearly confused. "I've never learned about that in ALL of my subjects."

My mom's eyes widened with realization and she sighed,"Oh...you're right. I'm sorry Samus but, get in the car again. I need to take you somewhere now that I've told you about this. I bet THEY have already sensed that you've used your abilities."

I looked down at our forest green rug and thought,

What?! What abilities?! The only abilities that I have is falling asleep during class and complaining...

"Samus? SAMUS!" my mom yelled, shaking me out of my thoughts.

"Wha...What?" I said, snapping back into reality.

"Come on, Honey. Hurry, we don't have much time", my mom said, getting up and dragging me out the door towards our car.

"Wait! Mom! Where are we going?!" I asked, while getting in the car. "Mom! You seem like someone's going to murder or kidnap me!"

"More like capture! Samus, with your powers, people will hunt you down for that! That's why I'm taking you somewhere where you'll be safe", my mom said, a single tear rolled down her cheek as she drove down an isolated road.

There was nothing but dried up grass as we drove towards nowhere. I was so bored. I didn't know what to do. Everything around me seemed so plain, well except for my mother's very frightened face. I put my chin on hand and stared blankly out the window that showed nothing but the grey sky. I soon fell asleep, by the calm sound of my mom's car going over the bumpy road.

I suddenly woke up to a rough jolt, that was made by my car, signaling that we made it to wherever my mom wanted to go to keep me safe.

"Come on, follow me", she said, while getting out of the car and walking over to a small, old grey-blue house.

"What is this place?" I asked, touching the front door which was open.

My mom placed a hand on my shoulder and whispered,"This, is The House."
