At the newlywed's reception the groom Architect Roel approached Edward and asked "So Edward, when is your turn? when are you proposing to your girl?

"Seriously, you are a asking me that question on your wedding day, it is your day pare, it is all about you and your lovely wife."

" Seriously din Edward, you deserve to be happy and I am just curious, you've been together for what more than a year, paano ka nakakatiis, you know what I mean pare hahaha." Roel with a mischievous smile asked Edward.

"You know that I should have proposed to her a long time ago Roel, but I could not at this point, with her condition I could not take advantage of her."

"Bilib din ako sa tiyaga mo pare, di ka ba naiinip kakaintay niyan?"

"Well, sweetheart" the bride walked in and joined the conversation "love is patient as the good book said, and besides knowing Edward, he wants everything in its perfect place and perfect time..she's very precious Edward, don't let her go out of your sight. And in saying that..." the bride pointed at Maymay who seems to be enjoying her time with the band as she was highly requested by the newlyweds to join the band and render entertainment to the guests. . "keep an eye on her, bachelors are looming over your beautiful girlfriend."

Edward looked at Maymay who was really having a good time singing with the band. He could see what Jennifer was trying to say but he just brushed it off. Maymay truly have that cheerful disposition and personality that people tend to get attracted to her and he doesn't really mind. He wanted her world her to expand, meet people and try new experiences.

Looking back Edward has been on Maymay's side from day one most especially when she underwent depression brought about by her condition but she eventually got over that phase through various supports from professionals and best of all from her family and friends. Slowly Maymay regained her confidence to despite the challenges that she continues to face but this did not hinder her to enjoy life's challenges presented to her...and for that Edward is very proud of her steps how little those steps are. He made a promise to her he will be with her at all times and he will make good of the promise.

Edward was in this deep thoughts while looking at her. Maymay was singing the couple's favourite list of songs with the band accompanying her.

The emcee then announced for the newlyweds first dance. At this juncture, Edward approached the stage and gently guided Maymay off the stage.

"You looked very happy Maymay and why is that?"

"Oh I am Edward, ang sarap palang kumanta!"

" I told you, you are a singer, a wedding singer to be precise and a music teacher as well. By the way thanks for what you did awhile back during the wedding itself singing the couple's favourite song."

Maymay had that forgetful looked again and Edward showed her the video that he had taken while she was singing.

"Oh that, alam mo bang grabeng kabado ako dyan, pero ewan ko ba kung anong nangyari sa akin, bigla na lang parang may nagsasabi sa akin na I have to sing, parang nalungkot ako na hindi magiging kumpleto yung kasal... nagustuhan mo ba? O bakit ayaw mong sumagot, hindi mo ba nagustuhan?"

Edward instead of responding he then held both her hands and said "I would love to have this dance with you." He then led her to the dance floor when the emcee announced that the guests can now join the newlyweds.

"But wait Edward, I don't think I can dance?"

"Well, come to think of it Maymay, this is our first dance, let us see, don't be scared, I will not let go of you."

At first they started awkwardly both were apologetic stepping at each other's feet but eventually steadily gained their balance when Edward held her gently on her waist and gently pressed her body to his, so close that they could feel the warmth of each other's breathing. Edward was looking intently on her eyes as she was. She then rested her head on her shoulder...he then whispered on her ear, "Yes, I love that you said you love me too.." Maymay heard what he said but didn't response, but had a thoughtful smile on her face and wrapped herself tightly on him.

They danced more than a few times. Maymay felt that she was floating in the air on Edward's arms. Edward knew that her meds had kicked off and it was time for her to take her needed rest.

Edward carried Maymay. She was light as a feather, fragile. He gently laid her to her bed, sat on the bedside looking at her face. He remembered what Roel asked him awhile ago..Edward heaved a deep sigh and thought aloud "tempting, been tempted many times...God Maymay, you are so beautiful, if you only knew how I desire and want you, much closer than this.."

Edward planted a kiss on her forehead, her nose, he stopped and looked at her lips. He mustered all his strength, a sigh deeper that the ocean escaped from his breath, he stood up and was about to walk towards his room he saw her smiled still with her eyes closed perhaps in deep sleep dreaming and whispered "I love you Edward."

Edward took off his vest, gently slipped and settled on the left side of her bed, slid his arm on her head. Maymay still on deep sleep felt comfortable and wrapped her arms on his chest.

Edward smiled and thought "good night love, this will do for now, close enough."
