"Well, this sucks,"
she mumbled under her breath. It was a normal morning for the two as they rode through the heavily secured gates. They weren't going in, but out. A stern-looking mother and her overly, compliant daughter were seated in the back of their personal car. The ride was silent and large trees slowly dissipated from the little girl's view. It was going to be another long day. (Y/N) knew that for sure... The schedule went kinda like this: First, they were to go to her father's hero agency. Getting in was easy. Getting out, was a different story. Just pushing by all the cameras and interviewers was a workout. A real workout ! Once (Y/N) and her mother got to the steps, she was on her own. Her parent would proceed back into the sea of broadcasters and back into the car. Just getting that brat away from her was godsent. the mother would ride back into town just to have lunch with her sophisticated "friends". What a bitch (what strong language for this child XD).
Once the daughter's hand made contact with the mahogany door many greeted her with smiles and quick hi's. She was then escorted to her father's office, saying few to none words. His assistant would calmly rehearse the small girl's training regimen just so she knew what pain would be induced by the end of today. In return, they usually got a few nods and sometimes a quiet "fine" by her. Although they felt sympathy towards the naive kid, it was out of their hands. Little did they know, she wasn't as naive as she put forth. Her tiny hands heaved open the double doors to her father's workspace and her flats were soon muffled by the soft carpet. She stepped towards the giant dest and crawled up onto one of the plush chairs. He greeted her with a quick glance before clearing his throat. She understood what that meant and nimbly flipped behind the chair, out of his view. "What have I told you about hiding. You're not good at it!" His slammed down onto the table and at first, nothing happened. She waited, but no response. (Y/N) was about to peek out to see if he was even there. She should have known better. The baby hairs on her neck stood up in a random, bedhead-like way. All she could muster was a quick 'shit' before electricity shook the entire room. It licked at her skin and burned the hairs on her arms. Given, she was only four, he did not hold back. He father never did. Endless amounts of bruises scattered her body in an instant, some wounds even drew blood. The lightning dissolved silently and the father assumed she was already knocked cold. Sadly, his assumption was correct. She laid peacefully on the ground, ragged breaths barely heard. He 'tsked' angrily and forcefully grabbed her fragile wrist. Don't worry. This was normal for her to endure. It went like this every day. Although it hurt like hell, she was convinced this was what every child went through. How sad. It got worse from there. As he dragged her half conscience body down the endless hall, they got few stares. Everyone here was used to it. They might not have agreed to it, but they were used to it. This treatment may have been harsh for the young girl, but he knew that this would help her in the future. Her father continued on their 'walk' with booming steps.
At this point, she regained her vision and the feeling in her legs. He noticed. With a loud grunt, he shoved her onto the ground and briskly strolled back to his office. The same assistant that read off her agenda rushed to her side and swept the baby hair away from her eyelids. "I'm sorry, my dear. Cruel as always, huh?" They propped the girl up against the wall while dusting off her (F/C) skirt and manila shirt. "Let's get going, yeah?" The girl brushed past her rescuer mumbling a brief 'thank you'. Out of all the times this assistant helped the young child, never once had they received a thankful response like that. Lost in their thought they failed to notice that the girl was far ahead of them. "If we don't hurry up, father will punish me later," (Y/N) muttered without stopping. "Yes, yes! O-o-of course, ma'am." Immediately they scrambled to get up, failing to keep the present grin off their face.
