Fitting In

Dixie Pov

I sat on a spare bed in a spare room at their Pack House, Maya was asleep in the bed as I stroke her hair, it was 1:39am and I couldn't sleep knowing my Mother is hurting Danielle, I carefully get up and trudge out of the room, I borrowed sweatpants & a tank top from Eliza, Maya was using one of Simons old shirts for pjs.

I walk into the kitchen to see the guy who's my mate sitting at the table with his head in his hands, I slowly walk over and he looks up as I sit on the chair next to him "can't you sleep?" He asks tiredly "nope, you?" I ask biting the inside of my cheek "no, I'm Nick by the way" he says rubbing his face, his dark brown hair was tousled like a birds nest and his brown eyes seemed dull from how tired he probably is.

"I'm Dixie" I said noticing a packet of Oreos on the table with Peanut Butter "it's not as bad as you think" He says amused when he saw the look on my face "really?" I ask raising an eyebrow, he picks up an Oreo and dips it into the Peanut butter "try it" he says holding it out, I slowly grab it, our fingers brushed sending tingles through my hand.

He watches as I bite it, I chew and swallow "that bad" I said smiling, he grins "told ya, can I ask you something?" He asks unsure "sure" I said softly "are you gonna reject me?" he asks putting his head in his hands again "is that why you can't sleep, you wanna know if I'm gonna reject you" I ask with raised brows.

"Yeah so do it already" He says sounding pained?, I stand up and gently placed my hand on his shoulder "look at me" I said softly, he looks up with teary eyes. I wipe his cheeks with my thumbs "I've lost everyone I ever loved, I can't go through that again" He says as I stroke his cheek "I wouldn't do that to you" I said and softly kissed his forehead.

"Come on, bed time" I said pulling him to his feet, he stared at me as I quickly get a drink of milk, I scull it "are you ok?" he asks concerned. I couldn't help the tears stream down my face, I was instantly pulled into Nick's arms, he lifts my head up and wipes my cheeks before softly kissing me.

"It's gonna be ok, I promise" he murmurs against my lips, we pull away and he gently grabs my hand and leads me to his room, he shuts the door and kicked his shoes off, I didn't have shoes on. Nick faces me and looked unsure, he smiled when I wrap my arms around his neck and peck his lips before walking backwards, I lay down on the bed pulling him down on top of me.

He stared at me as I pull him closer and softly kiss him, we move in sync as I deepen the kiss. After a make out session, Nick moves off me and he looked unsure until I curl up against his side using his arm as my pillow. He wrapped his arm around my waist pulling me closer looking protective as we fell to sleep.

Maya Pov

I wake up without Dixie Pixie, I jump off the bed and skip towards the door, I jump up and turn the doorknob, I walk out and saw a light in a dark room. I walk in to see a bunch of guys watching a scary movie, I sneak inside and crawled behind them.

"BOO" I yell making them all jump or shout "Guys its just a kid" One says rolling his eyes "yeah, ya pussies" I giggle, they stared at me with raised brows "what's your name?" One asks amused "Maya, give me cookies or else someone wakes up without hair on their head" I said evilly "GET THE GIRL COOKIES" One yells running out the door.

I giggle, that guy must love his hair, the other guys were staring at me looking kinda frightened "you guys are pretty, who wants to be my friend" I ask crawling onto the couch next to some dude who was eating popcorn "sure kiddo, I'll be your friend" The guy eating said patting my head.

"Touch my hair again and I'll bite your hand off" I said growling as I fix my hair "its like a mini Ashley" One snorts "who?" I ask stealing some popcorn but the guy didn't seem to care "a hooker" One smirks "oh you mean a slut, my Mummy's a slut, I always heard her moaning with random guys" I said throwing the popcorn up and catching it in my mouth.

"A swearing/scary kid, I like her already, its like free entertainment" One guy says grinning "nah, pay $75 to even look at all this, boy" I said making the guy with the popcorn chuckle "I'm Stark, that's Brady, Cory, Ethan, Asher and James" He says amused.

"Here you go" the other guy says walking back in and handing me a packet of cookies "it's about time" I said "that's Emmett" Stark says as I struggle to open the packet "here, make yourself useful and open it" I said handing it to Ethan, he raised an eyebrow but opened it and handed it back.

I ate my cookies happily while watching the movie with them "it's late, go to bed kiddo" Stark says as I finish my cookies "I can't be bothered, my legs hurt, I must have sat on them, cookies are gonna make me fat" I said giggling, Stark stood up and picks me up, he walks out and walks into the room, he places me in the bed and kissed my head before leaving and I fell to sleep thinking about how sexy I am.
