Maya Pov

I scream in pain as my ankle burned, my eyes glowing a blood red, my insides screaming in agony as I lay on the ground groaning, I heard the cellar door open & shut as I whimper from the intense pain, I was lifted into a pair of warm arms and felt tingles.

"It's ok" Stark whispers in my ear while sitting against the wall and holding me close "it hurts" I whimper burying my face into his chest "I know" he says kissing my head and rubbing my back, I whimper clutching his shirt tightly, he lifts my head up "you can control this, we believe in you" he says stroking my cheek.

I rub his neck & shoulder "I don't want to hurt you or anyone" I said whimpering "I know you don't, your too good to be like that, you can't stop this but I can" He whispers in my ear before I felt something sharp stab into my neck, I gasp in pain before blacking out....

I gasp sitting up on a bed, I rub my eyes and froze as the light flicks on "Caleb" I said quickly standing up off the bed "hello Lucy or should I say Maya now, looks like Stark wont be going home anytime soon" He says smirking "what do you mean?" I ask confused "the curse is broken, Stark is my new bitch" he says smirking.

"He isn't your bitch, I wasn't either" I said annoyed "on the contrary he is, why do you care anyway he rejected you" He says slamming me against the wall "why are you doing this" I ask whimpering at the intense pain in my back " because my darling daughter needs to learn how to hate not love, you pathetic bitch" He spits venom leaking off his words.

"I have no further use for you anyway" he says before two men came in and I was dragged away....

Melody Pov

"Freak" Holly says shoving me as I get off the bus because Mum couldn't pick me up, I was almost off the bus when "Hey freak, how's your freak show of a family" Holly calls out, I saw a guy in my class who I really like named Xander watching me, I turn around to face Holly and punched her hearing a crack as her face bangs into the window leaving a blood stain.

I walk off the bus muttering curse words as Xander stared jaw dropped at me, the bus drove off as I walk inside and to my room, I wash the blood off my knuckles, Mum & Dad weren't home yet from looking for Aunt Maya, I went to Dustin's room to see him sleeping on his bed with his leg dangling over the bed side and his arm lazily over his face.

I walk down stairs and into the kitchen, I grab an apple and ate it while staring out the window, I decided to go for a walk and went outside. I scrunch up my nose when I smelt something that was just disgusting, I follow the smell and scream at the sight of Aunt Maya beaten up and covered in blood & dirt....
